Oil drain s straight down, and when i pulled the turbo off, i saw no visible evdence of a clogged return line, i even flipped the line downwards and nothing came off. I think the main problem came from me beating the hell out of a very used and abused turbo ;) I knew it was gonna go..... :)...

Its a universal kit, but is SO easy to install, and i think i only cut one MAYBE two pipes. VERY simple to do. If your doing a 1jz swap, making and intercooler fit should be like really simple. :) And your gonna pay alot more for a specific kit. Vendors on here have some for 600+. I love...

I would start by looking over the coldside of your engine. Check all vacume lines, maybe on poped off or cracked open. Then i would head over the the throttle body and adjust your TPS. You say you dont wanna piss your car off, but to me it sounds like adjusting the TPS couldnt do anything...
