Realized earlier today that I still get excited to drive my supra everyday. I wouldn't rather be in anything else. And mine's a (mostly) stock N/A. HA!

Then later this evening I was fueling up and a 25-30 yr old dude (driving a clean, turbo WRX) was in awe over my car. I noticed him staring at it and he then proceeded to compliment it and said it looked nearly new. He was still excited about it when i told him it wasn't turbo. :)

Goes to show how rare a clean mkiii seems to be around Denver.

Just wanted to shout out my love for my mkiii and see if anyone else gets compliments regularly on their ride. (I love it when guys twice my age give me a thumbs up:))

I still enjoy driving my Supra all over the place. I dont get so many comments on it. I do get a few people that pull onto our lot to get a closer look at it.

any way the wind blows
Months back, was also fueling up and some guy with a clean 2G Eclipse equipped with one off parts asked if my car was the same Supra in some magazine.

I assume thats a good thing :biglaugh:
He did like how clean it was..

And just recently, a MkIV (says he goes by Skrappy) guy parked next to me and was astounded at the car.
Felt embarrassed 'cause the Supra was pretty dirty at the time ha..

I loved the feeling I got with my 89 White pkg. Only problem I ever had was getting people to believe me when I told them it was N/A. A guy pulled up to where me a a couple of buddies were hangin out and said he was lookin for a race. The guy next to me quickly volunteered me. He asked what i drove and all I said was Supra. First thing outta his mouth was "fuck that". It took me 30mins to convince him it wasn't turbo, even after lookin under the hood. I just love the reaction I get with it. Plus the name "Supra" strikes fear in the hearts of ricers.

About 3 years now, and it's the same everytime I drive it.

Best feeling in the world...Even after your windshield gets sprayed with 2 gallons of coolant after a 120mph pull goes bad.

:biglaugh:

Just messing...But it is humorous sometimes to peak in the corner of your eye as you're strolling through town to find people eyeballing and breaking their necks to stare your car down.

Maybe it's just me...But it seems like EVERY time I go to an Auto Parts store...
Either as you're being helped out, ringing out or leaving, there's always that ONE employee that acknowledges your Supra ownership and starts asking you questions like............

"How much boost U rUnniN, yo?"
"You got Nawz?"

and it's always followed by,
"Yeaaa, I got a friends Uncle's best friends pet fishes sister in law that has a cousin that has an S10 that runs liiiike....9's...er somethin'."

Fixing your girl's car
I know better than to drive my car to a discount parts store. I do, however have the parts department at my local dealer soiling themselves whenever I pull up to order parts.......A bunch of 40 year old guys all over my car.....

Every other car that I've driven, I've gotten tired of. 6 years and 5 supras later, I still love them.

It's like some kind of drug, the days when the car is broken you're down in the dumps, days when its running you're on top of the world.
