I have no issues in my car. I have a rerouted DDP, an 18 inch glass pack style resonator, Magnaflow high flow cat and a twin tip Magnaflow muffler. The exhaust note in noticeable in the car but it quickly blends into the background. It sounds very smooth and is just a slight hum, not a constant...
I have a Mk2 but it doesn't really count. It is basically just a parts car for when I buy a clean shell. This car I bought for $200 and has a mint interior and a low mileage 5M. The drivetrain works well but the body is shot. Initially I had planned to do body work to fix it but it is just...
It was for me last night but it is back up now.
Basically you need to send an email with this as the header:

^^^assuming you know how to fix that, lol
Is there a limit on what you can bring back with you? I wonder how much it would cost to ship something to yourself. I would definitely do that if I had the opportunity.
More than likely the person before you did not use Illumina 2's and therefore your TEMS button isn't doing anything. I wasn't very clear in my previous post but I think you answered my post anyways. I wanted to know if it was contacting the inner fender liner (black plastic) or the metal part...
I would recommend a 10mm spacer. Tissimo and another guy with new wheels have 10 inch wheels with +35 and have been successful. When looking for spacers you want to keep in mind that you want a min of 8 turns on the lug nuts or else you need longer studs or spacers with the studs built in...
Can you expand on your rubbing issues? When you say it rubs in turns, is it rubbing on the outside fender lip or on the inner fender? What suspension are you running? Since you mention TEMS I am going to assume some springs (H&R?) and Illumina 2's? It looks like your wheels are almost up...
I wouldn't buy a Mk3 for less than $5000. It just isn't worth the pain in the ass factor of building the car up to where it should be. Then after you have worked forever on restoring the car you have probably spent more than buying a good condition one in the first place.
If you only have...
That depends on what tire he chooses. The rear will be fine regardless of tire size, the fronts may rub if you fit a very fat tire. The front would sit 4mm further in than mine and I have only made mine rub once. I see no problems running a 245 up front on that setup.
This thread is sad and painful. If you don't know, don't reply.
To the OP: Are you seriously going to buy a motor from another state where all the info you get is two tiny, grainy pictures from a guy who knows nothing about motors? That sounds like a recipe for failure if I've ever heard one...
