update time!!!! fixed a lot of shit... finally got an exhaust... BIC DDP, custom 3'' cat-back with an ebay n1 muffler...

So i bought this... paid dirt cheap, but still didnt expect this... what do you think? Obvisouly the covers is worthless... but i have the one from the CPS on my car right now, so im not too worried about that... but its just the moral of it all i guess... its a CPS... not a piece of exhaust...

i know each engine is different, but i had some oil eatting problems... did a compression, did a leak down test... couldnt figure it out, pulled the intake manifold off and found some nice puddles of oil in the runners, my valve stem seals were torn to shit. fixed those and no more oil...

well... im glad i didnt buy one, but i would have bought one of the others on ebay, not this guy anyways... i traded some parts + cash for a BIC vented downpipe. had to fix a hole that i knew about, not a problem... metal was thick as shit like expected... welded really easy cause it was mild...

i'll see if i have clamps on that hose... all of my hoses are NEW. maybe i'll just go take the shims out and slap the MBC on there and double check all of my clamps and see what happens...

even if i remove the shims... that'll just lower the boost and mask the problem... having shims vs. a MBC shouldnt be any different... although i think i might remove them anyways if i slap on the MBC that i have...

i cleaned quite the layer of "exhaust gas" from under the donwpipe... its now fully coated with at least 8 layers of VHT flame proof, wrapped fully, and then another can and a half of vht flame proof... cant even tell its a vented downpipe by looking at it! and with the heat shield on, looks...

i only have about 3-4mm of shims... like 2 washers?... was just to raise boost from 6 to 8psi... and yes, i know EXACTLY when it starts to open... kinda fun to only "crack" the vent tube so you get a neck snap reaction from people... haha im some what sure i may know where i have a leak...

i see... i didnt think about how a small boost leak would become much worse with the DDP... i'll go throw the tester on... but on a positive note, on the way to work i raped a 5.0 mustang... was like a 99ish... he didnt want any after that though. hahaha

theres not really a better combo for $400... the tire size is decent, and the rims are strong and light. and a 17x8 +35 offset will put them at about where a stock rim sits... i had 17x8 +35 on my car before... they tuck nicely into the fenders if your really low.

jdub - have you read anything about the new castrol edge?

and dont bother with those dual e-fans, just get a turbo clutch fan setup. i also hate to break it to you, but i hope when it comes time for smog the guys a retard and doesnt realize the vin goes with a non-turbo engine!

you need to show us the sprockets... not the cams. and you need to make sure the cam dowel pin was put in the center hole in the cam or they will get messed up too.
