how much boost is to much

How is your head bolt torque? Has the head gasket been replaced? If so, with what? A catback exhaust is a good start, however, you need to replace the intake, turbo elbow, downpipe, and cat before you start delving into intercoolers and boost controllers. You should buy a real boost gauge...

Police perception amongst the general public.

Keep in mind that any old LEO are likely to have been through the specialized training that teaches them how to gauge your speed without the help of radar. Not sure about your area, but here it's regarded by the courts as more accurate than radar, and trying to fight it is a lesson in...

Police perception amongst the general public.

The problem here is that the law as written is useless. It's talking on the phone that causes a distraction, not the act of holding the phone. Unfortunately, banning phone conversations entirely while in the car isn't possible, there's a LOT of money into bluetooth from cellular tech, phone...

    Shutting a bully down. Repost?

I suspect that there is always going to be bullies. There certainly was when I was growing up, and my kids have run into them at school already. I *think* we, as a society, do a better job of dealing with them today than we did 30 years ago... however, that could be my changing viewpoint as I...

    fuel door getting stuck??

This is usually the spring on the door getting tired. Open the door, and bend the spring back to give it some more tension, see if that solves the problem.

I want to drop my a/c help please

Note that the AC is also really useful for muggy rainy days. AC dries the air as well, so it defogs better than anything else. Yes, after having the system evacuated, it's reasonably simple to remove. Well, the condenser in front of the radiator, the drier, and the compressor, anyway - the...

Police perception amongst the general public.

Well, in a way they are judged more harshly... consider what the average life expectancy of a LEO sentenced to jail is. Your average Joe can get jailtime and fully expect to go home afterward.

I want to drop my a/c help please

You should take it to a shop with a vacuum pump to have the system evacuated. The R12 in there isn't friendly stuff.

Buying MK3 Supra after blown head gasket

Depends on your location. Supras have kept a lot more value in Canada than they did south of the border Camaros, on the other hand... I'm wondering if the turbo was big enough to pop the head gasket because it's under fueled, and weak enough to self destruct shortly thereafter. Size on the...

Running hot. Can not figure out why. 2J MKIII... 240* on the highway

Actually, mine is wired directly to a standalone. I just put together that diagram for the folks who don't have that option. I'm not even 100% sure that will work, you might need a electromagnetic switch in there instead of the second relay.

Buying MK3 Supra after blown head gasket

If the car was parked after getting the BHG, or there wasn't much coolant contaminated the oil, it will be fine. If not, but the shop replaced the bearings at the same time as the head gasket, it'll likewise be fine. If they slapped a metal head gasket on an unprepped block and heat with ARP...

    Ebay Ultra Mounts

Don't those cost $250 for a set? My solid mounts cost me less than $50, and are good to over 650lbs of torque... unlike the Mk4 mounts. I'd rather buy the Corvette style mounts for that kind of coin... they don't separate if they do break, and are still vibration damped.

Running hot. Can not figure out why. 2J MKIII... 240* on the highway

It's really simple to set up if you're running a standalone ECU. If you're running off a standard temperature sensor, it's a bit more complex, but you essentially pair up a set of relays, something like the attached diagram.
