really? interesting..... did all the bolt holes line up correctly? i got 2 to line up exactly, 1 to get really close and the last one i played with for a while before i drilled the hole a touch and got it to fit exactly right. mine was the non tapped version. went vpc so dont have to worry...
how about sp61gt's? i have 1 that needs a rebuild and possible upgrade and another one that needs some work (blown exhaust seal) drop me a pm if you are interested
thats about what mine was like when i started blowing these other turbos. im switching to a new rebuilder to see if that helps as after speaking to ITS my oil situation is well within spec for the turbo.
VPC's are great! i hav e one on my car and would recommend them to any one else. the vpc does change from a KV system to a density system, fixes the stalling issue some people have with a bov, run open turbo, a less restrictive system, ....the list goes on. buy it and dont look back!
im not even sure what your bet is but i think you are going to lose.
3 peice wings became available in the 89 model year. it was standard on the turbo models. it was available on NA models as part of a sports package (tems, wing, lsd) both single peice and 3 peice wings.
checked over both the lines and theres no restriction. i ran the same oil back when i had my ct26 w/ the same oil pressure and no issues for 80+k miles. the oil never smells burned until it comes out my exhaust when the turbo seals went :( today the temp was up there around 101 again according...
it was 101 today here in tx and tonight it got down to 85! woot! the turbo came with the install kit of sending and return line from the mfg and was always turbo timed down. never really specified other than just "oil contamination"
Hey guys. I have been burning thru turbos quicker than I have been doing oil changes! So far the tally is 3 turbos in less than a year with the current one letting go after only 2 months. the turbos have all been rebuilt by a reputable company and they have swapped turbos out for me on...
id be concerned how the sensor would deal with elevated pressure levels and how correctly it would read. also if the sensor would snap off -> right into the block = no bueno
VPC ftw! tried and true tech, high quality and have had nothingt but good luck with it! awesome product from hks, just cant figure out why they disco'd it
those af's are pretty normal. i when i was stock and my bros car also we dyno'd about there for a/fs (maybe a touch richer as it just bottomed out the wb at 10:1 under WOT) get an afpr and back it down a few psi and see what happens. our cars run pig rich!
ninja edit: that adjustment screw...
