here's a 91/92 door panel incase anyone was wondering..
as you can see, Toyota modified 89/90 door panels, by cutting them and afixing a new metal door panel, and using a larger speaker grille, so the sound is not obstructed...
I sold a set before...
I have a set on my 89 with complete with 91 door panels, and stock on my 92..
I'd be down for a set for my 86.5, big improvement over the shitty 4 inchers...
it should be mentioned SOME 6.5 pods came with tweeters, others didn't..
the pair I sold had...
Cujo, loved that movie..
(i'm 23 by the way)
I'm honestly not afraid of dogs for some reason..
people make the mistake of running from them (big mistake, you can not outrun any dog, save a chihuahua), just stand your ground, cover your face, they'll clamp onto your arm or something, but...
yeah, I love 7MGE's, very smooth, quiet and fairly powerful..
plus they sound good with exhausts...
of course, when I wanted more power, I swapped to a 7MGTE, there's just no substitute for turbo power...
while the mirror plugs will not hook together, the pins match and it's all functional, so if you can find a way to hold the two plugs together (small ziptie), then you're good to go..
It's what I did for the 89 mirrors on my 86.5..
how did you attatch yours..?
I finally got mine yesterday and they have small tabs on the bottom, but they don't clip on, did you do something custom..?
you need more than just the engine..
you need the igniter, wiring harness, intercooler, intercooler piping, oil cooler, ECU, tachometer, downpipe, exhaust, etc..
depends on your driving style and how much you can "forgive"...
my 89 has a HEAAVVYY clutch, I'm used to it, but anyone else would get tired of it after a few minutes, so in that sense, it's not a good DD...
I paid $2300 for my 7MGTE/W58, harness, ECU, intercooler, piping, downpipe, 3 inch exhaust, SSQV BOV and upgraded clutch, steering rack, master/slave clutch cylinders, plus $900 for labor at Kaizen...
