There really isnt a lot of pressure in the cooling system, not enough to pop a freeze plug anyway. I reccomend using a socket of slightly smaller size to apply even pressure and tap it in very lightly.

Get yourself an decent intercooler, universal is fine. Get a DIY piping kit. Cut it up and mock it up to fit exactly how you want it. mark it so if you take it apart you know exactly how it goes together. Then take the pipes to a shop that tig welds and have them weld it all together for you.
