I just purchased a 31x12 intercooler off ebay for $79 shipped and am quite surprised to see the quality is good. The first intercooler I received had a core that was pinched in the center, however, the seller sent me a replacement at his cost with no questions asked. He even included universal mouting hardware with the second intercooler.

Get yourself an decent intercooler, universal is fine. Get a DIY piping kit. Cut it up and mock it up to fit exactly how you want it. mark it so if you take it apart you know exactly how it goes together. Then take the pipes to a shop that tig welds and have them weld it all together for you.

My eGay intercooler works and looks just fine. End tanks are plenty thick, and was the size I was looking for. IIRC I pd $130 for it a 1.5 years ago. There cheaper in price now.

If you want a good intercooler that will actually cool the air intake temps, don't get an ebay intercooler. They will work if your on a budget, but not that well.

I would go with a Precision intercooler with a real garret core. And then have some pipes made.
A Spearico, like I use works very well too, although mine is very undersized.

REALLY!!! And what are your facts?

I happen to have a thermocouple on each side of my IC and cooling is plenty fine for me ;) Dont ask why I did it (pretty pointless) , I just did one night because I was board and has the equipment sitting in the garage.

haha cheap well let me tell you.

i got a fat intercooler i think is a 14x24x2.5 in great condition for 30 bucks and a full intercooler piping kit from a eciplise for 20 bucks:icon_bigg:aigo:!! on craigslist, and the guy even gave me the greedy type rs bov that was welded on for free:icon_bigg

the i went and bought 2 intercooler elbows 1 90 degree and the other 45 both new they were 45 dollars each!!

so my grand total is 140 for a full set up.

gl and search craigslist constantly
