i am a saturn mechanic so i have seen alot of crashed ions, i would say you are pretty lucky. i have seen some not as bad as yours with the drivers in the hospital. the worst one i have see was kinda funny. it was rearended in the rear, wasnt too bad. little did they know the battery (located in...
you should try running solid lines to your bov and just have short rubber lines between the manifold and hardline and hardline and bov. if you think about it the less flex you have in the bov control hose the quicker it will respond to boost and vacuum. making the line as short as possible helps...
i worked on alot of older toyota (obd1) and alot of the sensors wouldnt set a code unless they had a short or open. so if your iacv is failing but not failed completly its possible you wont get a mil for it.
if you do an aftermarket boost controller you will reroute all the hoses to the wastegates and you will be able to adjust the boost to what you want instead of the ecm doing it for you.
also i had a problem on mine when i went big single i was hitting fuel cut at 8psi for some reason. i have the aristo 280hp engine from japan which is an obd1 engine. i built a map clamp (fuel cut defencer) and elimnated that problem but when i had it dynoed i found that it had a real bad spot...
i dont know your exact problem but i can give you suggestions. if you go to home depot and purchace items such as an adjustable air pressure regulator valve, a nipple that will connect it to an air line, a connection fitting that will connect it to a 2" pvc fitting, a 2" to 3" plumbing adaptor...
you should add brake fluid to the powersteering. its a coorosive lubricant that causes the seals to swell and stop leaking for a little while. (dont really do that its an old trick used car salesmen do when a car has a powersteering leak) yea the only way to fix it is to pull the rack and...
mine used to do that alot and it was always the ignighter connector. i would just unplug them and plug them back up and it would start right up. also had a similar problem and it was the wiring to the mass air flow. one of the wires broke at the connector
i have a avcr and a e-manage blue. i have installed the avcr and its pretty sweet but i dont know if i want to use the emanage or go with a safc. what would you do?
no i just figured it would be ok. and it was cheap. it spools ok. and doesnt bleed off but i should have went with a smaller one for what i need it for.
