Ok, my car has been running perfect since i've finished my swap. I just have a few concerns that are now bugging me (past 3 days).

1st day something weird happened. Drove to work started up perfect idled at 1K dropped off at 650/750 when warm. Normal nothing big.

When i was leaving for work started her up and she jumped to 2K. At 2K it would pretty much drive itsself and when i held the clutch in it still jumped to 2K. Didnt let it warm up as it was weird so i shut her off. Just before i popped the hood i figure let me try it again. Started her up again and it idled at 1K and dropped like normal when warming up. Ok no biggie.

2nd day. Car started up idled like normal. Went to wendy's drive thru. As i was getting ready to order, the car miss fired on idle a bit then cut off on me. I Tried for about a minute to start it and she wouldn't start. I push her to a parking spot (slight hill!) almost died but got her there. I then started to check connection, went into my trunk checked the relay (12v mod) went to the fuse box checked the fuses all good, checked the battery connections, all good, jumped in the car it started right up, but nothing was loose.

today - Get rdy for work go outside and start the car. Car starts rpms jump to about 1500 then drop and the car shuts off. Tried 3 more times to let her idle on her own and she wouldn't hold an idle. I then on the 4th time gave her a little gas and held it for 5 seconds and now she's idling a hair over 500 and its rough. Car gets a slight miss fire every so often now, and the plugs have maybe 4K on them at most.

What could cause these things to happen? Bad IACV? Spark plugs messed up? (Copper plugs gapped at about .026)

i believe a bad IACV can cause it.. came to mind after the ECU of course :D (trying to find more info on it)...

would it cause the MIL to flash on?

i worked on alot of older toyota (obd1) and alot of the sensors wouldnt set a code unless they had a short or open. so if your iacv is failing but not failed completly its possible you wont get a mil for it.
