ok, when your headgasket blows coolant mixes with the oil due to having a broken barrier between them BHG=blown headgastet. if your thermostat is stuck closed that creates alot of pressure and higher temps because the coolant can't circulate, you prob. want to change it soon anyway its only...
well normally everyone always jumps to the "BHG" idea, but I would check for those symptoms such as coolant in oil, white smoke, etc... but here are some other ideas: how long has it been since you have changed your thermostat? it could be stuck closed. As for the bogging it could be due to...
Im not sure, ill try to check into it and let you know. That MKIV your talking about was doug pelsor i think he was at 933 at the wheels last time i talked to him he said hes doing another rebuild to shoot higher. I'm prob going to run too last year I was only 17 so I couldnt..im curious to see...
a little off topic but are you going to be at the supra meet in Xenia at kil-kare this summer? Im going to run it with and without the shifter to see if it makes that big of a difference
actually if you need those rear side plastic pieces ive got two that are in really good condition:
PM me if your interested, I do believe they have all the clips too but not a 100% sure
OK, since this is what my dash area looks like right now..
I went out and took some pics of the plugs in the area your talking about..
these were the ones on the left hand Drivers side..
and these were on the right hand drivers side...
are any of those it?
could you get a pic of the plug? I might be able to tell you what its to, my dash and everything is out right now so I just went throught ALL the plugs yesterday
lol, no not yet..this is what my interior looks like right now:
my heater core pooped out on me:cry: and im in the middle of chaging it, plus we still have snow and its 1 degree out, Ill get one up eventually just dont know how long.:icon_conf
what drill bit wont drill through it easily? ask me how I know :icon_wink even self tapper's threads will get chewed up. Ive had to drill a couple holes and make brackets for my fog lights... although I didnt have as much of a problem with bits as I did having the screws threads eaten
you would have to use a pretty powerful drill and a good drill bit, you'll have to put them on the frame to use them for towing...and if you don't use the right drill bit or screw it will chew the s**t out of them both.
ok, took it off, does anyone have a diagram on how to get to the heater core or how to remove the hardlines? Im stuck now and cannot get the plastic off around the heater core, thanks
