    Need help with engine selection....please

This... and goals. Are you looking for a dyno queen, rally car, dorifto madness, daily driver, or drag machine? There is a huge difference between the guy who is dropping a stock 2j - including twin turbos, harness, and ECU into his car, and the other end of the scale, someone who is using a...

Jap style Exhaust - angle or straight fitment ?

I like the straight better... and oddly, I have the angle. :)

    Disturbing the peace

There's good and bad sides to this kind of person. There's a guy at the end of my street, I swear he sits in an upstairs bedroom with binoculars, eyeing the neighbourhood all day for something to bitch about. He calls the police on all the local teenagers when they have a party - even when...

Need timeslips... or video... or something! I didn't even post my *own* time until I had a timeslip to scan and post. Otherwise Slow66 might resurrect himself and descend on this thread with the wrath of a man who's rules have been ignored. ;)

i wish someone would get 7MPower.com up and running again...

That's because Duane and HTML don't mix, never mind the PHP I wrote GTEPowered in. :) Now if he'd get a list of updates and send 'em to me, I'd get around to it eventually.

    Stretch's Digidash thread

He only sourced one of the plugs for me - he found two possible matches, so I just bought them both. Considering the ease that he found mine, I don't think he'll have any problems finding the other two if you need them.

Are you missing all the plugs? Or just select ones? I've actually got one spare, I think... for the small(ish) plug.

    Stretch's Digidash thread

Just FYI, DrTweak managed to source all the male plugs / pins for the cluster when I was looking.

Heh... simple, actually, we were in a bit of a rush and I haven't finalized the dash design I'm going to use anyway.

It's not so much the AEM itself, it the fact that they use the Bosch sensor, and the ntk sensor is supposed to be far better. Takes a bigger bite out of your wallet, that's for sure.

Yes... to be honest, I haven't noticed a whole lot of difference yet. Reading the manual, it does need to be free air recalibrated a fair bit, every month for street driving as I recall, which is a bit of an inconvenience.

Hitting a brick wall at 50 vs another car at 50

Nope. It's like getting in an accident at 50mph. The difference is that hitting a wall (well, a wall that doesn't buckle like a cheap tent when 2 tons of steel impacts it at 50mph, anyway) will leave 50 mph of damage on *one* car. Hitting another car head on will leave 50 mph of damage on...

how to raise the idle speed?

Firstly, you've got the order all wrong. Moriarty had Holmes Loveless had West Vader had Luke etc, etc. Furthermore, you two are more like having a wooden nickel with heads on both sides.

Yes it is. It's bearable in daylight, at night I put something over it. I really need a scrap of tint... One and the same. :)

Hitting a brick wall at 50 vs another car at 50

It averages... so car A going 50 and car B going 100 makes for 75 on both cars. For your second example, it depends on the percentage of weight each car has. Car A takes 1/3 of the damage, Car B takes the rest. There is a total of 100mph, so Car A gets the equivalent of 66.66 mph and Car B...

Stolen car: Maroon & White Cressida, 1j = FOUND!

Anyone stealing a car that stands out THIS much can't be very smart. I mean, they have to be above vegetable level, or they couldn't steal a car, but not by much.
