Mazda 3 owners..... what is up?

Ya, I've noticed this kind of trend over the years. The car changes, but it's always cheap, usually slow, and popular with the kids who don't know any better. Back in the 90's it was Ford Escorts. What happens is the kids just old enough to drive get their hands on a car, they don't have the...

Offical: 2011 PacNW Centralia Meet & Greet - May 14th! (Saturday)

A show in the September timeframe would be nice, break up the monotony between the PacNW show and SILV.

    Gurren Lagann!!!

lol - the jury is still out on NGE. The first shot at it was awesome, right up until the 'ending', where it promptly got so fucked up it was right off the map. The new movies are great, but they are behind schedule by quite a bit, and the first two just leave you hanging. And it's completely...

    Gurren Lagann!!!

I've seen all these, but I hadn't heard of this Gurren Lagann thing. I'll give it a shot. Oh... and add Ninja Scroll to that list of the best.

Offical: 2011 PacNW Centralia Meet & Greet - May 14th! (Saturday)

Great time! Good food, good people, nice cars... can't get a whole lot better than that. Oddly enough I brought a camera, but never even pulled it out of my pocket, I was so busy talking to folks from all over. Nice to finally take some time to talk to Jim Sr - he's full of great stories...

Offical: 2011 PacNW Centralia Meet & Greet - May 14th! (Saturday)

8am seems a bit early by my calculations... Burlington to Bothell is ~ 60 minutes Bothell to I5 & I90 is ~30 minutes I5 & I90 to Centralia is ~90 minutes By that clock, we don't have to be leaving Burlington until about 9am. 'Tis ok though, this leaves us some room to spare. I'll see you there.

    Open loop mode switchover point?

Unfortunately, Toyota seems to have a habit of calculating this using 85% sensible input values, as you've surmised, and 15% made from random amounts of voodoo and witchcraft, with an occasional dash of divine intervention.

    New Girl :P

Gotta give up some more detail than that... turbo? Transmission? Leather / cloth interior? What needs work? What does the BF drive? Why did he suggest a Supra?

The Fiery Debate: Stick with 7M Power?... or swap for 1JZ/2JZ

As much as that makes me giggle, that's probably just due to the usual 'Supra owners, as a rule, can't drag for shit' problem.

6 km? I'll drive that far out of my way to get ice cream. If you need the lift, let me know, I've got a spare seat. 3 actually, but I've rarely forced anyone over the age of 10 into the back of a Supra.

The Fiery Debate: Stick with 7M Power?... or swap for 1JZ/2JZ

Agreed... finding a Supra front clip these days isn't as easy as it was 10 years ago. The community opinion of the cost just hasn't adapted yet. PS: Where the heck is that shower gif of yours from?

The Fiery Debate: Stick with 7M Power?... or swap for 1JZ/2JZ

The price thing comes from the days of buying a JDM half cut to get your parts from. It was significantly cheaper to go this route because you ended up with virtually all the parts required, and already fit to the Mk3 chassis. You can't do the same with a 2J, because it doesn't come in a Mk3...

Offical: 2011 PacNW Centralia Meet & Greet - May 14th! (Saturday)

Allow me to be serious for a moment... If your location is correct, it shouldn't be a big deal for the crew from north of you to swing over and pick you up. I could easily take I405 east of Seattle and merge back into I5 at Seatac. Adds 6 whole kilometers to the trip, and from my perspective...
