    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Damn, looking pretty. All I got was a watch from my wife. Sounds like you must have got hold of Iner. Swing by and see the 2JZ if you get a chance.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Sean, I looked at that Summit link. Isn't a pump that can provide 45 psi and support 2500 h/p (according to the add) a bit over kill? For that price might as well get a Weldon and be done with it?

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Sean, there's nothing wrong with it. I don't have the ability and so I figure plug and play is better. Nice looking, polished brackets, professional wiring work, new coils, not used. Plus trouble shooting help if need be. BTW, I have been looking at fuel pumps. There are several brands that...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

To me, it seems like a good trade. Get rid of the 15+ year old coils, ignitor, DLI. The amount from the sale will cover the cost of new coils. Drop them in. Do the basic wiring, change settings on AEM. Done,on to another problem.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Here is a link to the site where i found them, not cheap but with selling the old stuff should be damn near equal. And yes, fit under coil covers. I hate to run without them. http://www.mojoperf.com/drupal/

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I have an HKS belt. Sure is pretty. Should have more pic's to post up in a day or so. For right now, this will be my coil set up. These are LS2 coils, with custom brackets. These will allow me to get rid of the DLI and the ignitor. With the amount I can sell my current coils(I have at...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

The latest upgrade. Billet timing tensioner. Bought her with a couple of hundred miles on her. Engine goes on stand this weekend. We can then start assembling her.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Sean, I vote for putting her back together without repainting. It's only a year or so since we painted it. Yes, let's order the new fuel rail stuff. I want to unwrap engine and get her on the stand. It should be easier to get all the bolts tightened down on the exhaust manifold while on the...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I have AEM version 1. I like it but will eventually go Pro-EFI. I like it's ability to sense difference ratio's of alcohol, and to also be able to run 92 octane if need be, plus traction control. Just need to make sure Shane from DB Performance can tune it. I also have a JDM harness. Sean...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Yes, I have a Q45. To be honest, last summer we had nothing but problems, so we didn't put many miles on her. I had/have an electrical issue that despite trying like hell, to track down, we never did have a firm diagnosis and fix. We found several electrical issues, but never the cure. I am...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

My plan if she doesn't last is a triple disc. I want decent drive ability, but won't slip when I really romp on her.

This one is rated at 632 ft pounds. I hope it will last a full season.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I haven't posted here for a while. Been patiently waiting for the 2JZ to arrive from the machine shop. It comes in tomorrow. Hopefully we can start installing her within a few days. So much to do. Spring seems so far away, but past experience has shown the winters go fast. I did get the fly...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Sounds expesive to me. Should be in the 10's next year.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Dave the coil set up looks sweet. I still want to keep my relatively stock look as much as possible. I have read a bit on SFs about these coils. There are several guys using them with good results. It apprears that for around $100-120 I can get 6 1zz coils. We were still having missing issues...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Steve, Perhaps buy one of the sets from you?? Yes, it was a dud of a summer. We never did have her running correctly. Next summer, burning rubber, taking names. Too bad April is so far off!!

We could strip her in my garage if that helps. What color is the interior?

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I have read the 1zz coils are cheap. I could sell my HKS DLI and ignitor and probably get pick up the needed parts with the sale. DaveH is using the LS coils. Which ever I go with I want the stock coil cover to fit correctly.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

I am working on my list of things to things needed before spring. New fuel pump, dual setting manual boost controller, send in AEM to check her out. I am also seriously looking at Steve's idea of getting rid of stock coils, perhaps got with either the 1ZZ coils or LS coils. Plus getting 4"...
