    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

During the time that the engine was at the machine shop, I found a slightly used billet tensioner. Once we got her home, before the engine was in the car, I asked Sean to install it. He complained quite a bit because the ATI pulley had to be removed to replace the old one. Somewhere in the...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Steve, thanks for driving up and making the diagnosis on the tensioner. I still have to figure out the exhaust issue. After she cooled down today I was able to get a wrench on the middle v-band and got her quite a bit tighter. I still like your idea to change the middle section and alter...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Last night, Sean got the timing tensioner back to working like it is supposed to. This eliminated the noise that I knew wasn't normal. We put everything back together. Today I made about 10 darn good vacuum pulls. Then I drove her easy over to Clearwater with Sean following in the BMW. She...

Steve, great to hear it's coming together. Thanks again for coming over and looking at the 2jz.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Well, today we officially fired up the 2JZ, although we have had her popping over for a few seconds here and there checking wiring. She is far from dialed in. I plan on finishing up a few small issues, need more vacuum line, make a small bracket for dip stick, tie down power steering container...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

I stopped by Iner's garage today over lunch to pick up a piece from my 4" exhaust that needed his expertize. I immediately recognized the head of Steve's 7M that he was working on. I snapped a couple of pic's of the porting job. Bear in mind shitty camera phone, plus he has a ways to go, and...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

The drive shaft loop came in today's mail. I was pleasantly surprised how thick and heavy duty it is. Shouldn't be too tough to get it on, while we finish the exhaust fabrication.

Here's a few of mine. 30ft x 50 ft with 12 foot walls. Heated, steel walls, insulated and high tech sealant on the floor. We built her 2 springs ago, after I moved into my new place. A couple of days ago I met with my plummer and excavator to finalize the plans on the bathroom. When we build...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Today, Sean worked on the exhaust fabrication. It's perhaps 85% complete. We still need to buy hangers and weld on the rear muffler. Plus I am still not satisfied with the transition from 4" to 3.5". I am going to talk to my friend Iner, and see what he thinks. He's the guy who ports heads and...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Yes, I am pretty sure they are GM wheels. He used these tires to keep it low to the ground. No tie down straps came with it, but there are a bunch of places to tie onto to hold her down, plus there are spots to build sides if need be. I am thinking of a cheap winch. My truck has a wire that we...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

The latest addition: A trailer to haul broken Supra's on. I have been looking for a while. This one isn't new, but the previous owner bought it because it is low to the ground. Nice steel floor and trails nice. What do you think?

    92nsx's supra build

Rob, Emilio, Sean and I were just wondering about you last night. Sorry to hear the news. Damn engine builders. I am interested in a few parts. For anyone who is interested, this car is immaculate. I would like the to buy the front under bumper piece, not exactly sure what it's called.(If...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

Steve, I saw that 2nd video. If my Blue 87 had been running up to snuff, the outcome would have been different. Let's see how it goes this year. Can't wait to try.

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

More progress. Today the fuelab pump showed up. I am surprised on how small it is compared to my old Aeromotive A-1000. The next couple of days we will hopefully getting the engine back in the car. More later. It's the 41402-1 Rated for 1300 h/p with fuel injection. With E-85 subtract 1/3...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Here's the latest. I bought a slightly used speedometer cable here on SM. It's nice and save plenty. Today I picked up the new 0-rings for the injectors, plus the items we had powder coated. Motor mounts, radiator braces, plus a few custom brackets. This weekend with some luck, we should have...

    Leecheater's rebuild, getting there

Steve, my quess is your mechanical ability trumps my ability to pay Sean to work on my car. I am hoping the day we hook up the electronics we can arrange it for you to be there. Sean is going to have a detailed conversation with DaveH before we get too far. I should have the powder coated...
