you can do a 4AGZE->4AGTE swap if you want. Find a 4AGZE from a Supercharged MR2 or a JDM GT-Z AE92 coupe and ditch the SC parts, slap on a turbo kit, and raise the boost.. 4AGZE's have stronger internals, pistons and oilsquirters perfect for boosting..

I've only heard my factory alarm on my 86.5 and 92, not on my 89, which would have helped when they got stolen..! But all U.S Supras came with the factory alarm, and the shitty part is old wiring will cause the damn thing to act up. Sometimes when I unlock my 86.5 with the key, the alarm goes...

my CF hood locks and releases with the stock latch and the hoodpins hold it on super tight... however you're correct, I should get some sort of locking mechanism, preferrably those aerocatch pins, but I don't have the monies for it right now..:(

My 92 is Black and hardtop 5-speed.. I know there aren't any targa 92 N/A's, but it's better than a metal sunroof, I always hated those things.

by the way, you can adjust your hood, loosen the bolts on the driver's side, and pull the hood down, see if that works... as for a factory radar detector, highly unlikely.. dealer installed, that's a whole 'nother thing...I know some Supras had car phones, so it's possible..

usually it's when a braided wire touches the alternator, or an open down pipe ignites oil... other than that, there should be no reason why a car would go up in flames like that...
