I already do this to help out my A70 brothers with super rare parts from Japan, usually at little to no profit. Some things to consider, ebay charges ridiculous FV fees, paypal charges fees, the post office/Fedex charges fees, etc etc.
While you're posting YahooJP auctions make sure to post...
Bedliner and header wrap
5 Years, it's been about 9 since I wrapped the dash. That pattern and color was discontinued when I purchased it, but you can still get similar tweed.
You could have just asked me, it's not a secret. :biglaugh:
Look at the pictures and specs on the first page, do a little measuring, and you'll have everything you need. :icon_wink
It all depends on ride height, camber, and tire choice & size. If you're slammed with decent camber you won't go past +20 offset, however at factory ride height you could fit...
Why would you ever choose to build a mold like that out of body filler and newspaper? :icon_conf
A professor let you go through all that trouble and didn't explain how to make a proper mold?
Best of luck, it's going to be a lot of work.
No markings? The decal is visible in the picture, although looks like it's missing half the ARC (Auto Refine Co.) logo.
This is the missing slide adjustment clamp from ARC.
You can't blame Enkei because people want to buy the low end line, they make some incredible affordable wheels.
Exhibit A: 18x9.5 +15 Enkei RC-T4 Super Taikyu wheels, almost as light as my magnesium OZ but just a bit out of the OP's budget.
It will be fine, but why stretch tires when you'll still have such a mild offset? It will just make it look worse, even my 9.5 +15 would disappear behind my old S2 front lip. At that height with TEIN (SS/HA/RA/NR?) you can fit any tire you want, might as well use it.
The ClubLinea size and...
PROF/Sheepdog/ arqray produced a lot of parts, I ran one of their tuned 1G ECU for a while. I would say that old A70 exhaust is getting much more rare, unfortunately because most are rusted out by now.
Also, nice to see some of my old custom projects in here. Maybe I can find pictures of my old...
Project Kics, AME, H&R, and Ichiba all have center bore rings. However it's not 100% needed, I've used many over the years without them. It's just an additional measure to aid centering and wheel installation.
You have to appreciate the skill it takes to fit the most amount of wheel and lip into the body with MM precision, no spacers.
S.N.B. I think is the funniest example though, that G got hung up on the smallest grade change and had to be pried off with boards. Car looks great, but if you can't...
I've been running this setup for 5+ years. Since then I've crashed the car 18 times and hit three bus loads of children.:runaway:
I felt the PS was too intrusive on my stock 88, and still wasn't satisfied with the PPS on the old 1JZ car. Of coarse there are times I would like to have some...
This thread and the rumors are a riot. Stop repeating what you've read from someone who has never owned a 1G.
Thank you Jeff, finally some truth in a post.
I've seen more turbo and supercharger kits from Blitz/GReddy/HKS, most all the same PNP ECU and piggy backs, big clutch options...
Power folding mirrors are very heavy compared to all US spec mirrors, and Bomex Type1 (power and manual) mirrors are much lighter than all those. About the same as the hotdog on a stick mirrors, i.e. Craft-Square. I haven't had the Bomex Type2's to compare though.
9.5" +42 is weak. For reference my old RA3-DT were 9.5 +19 all around, bumped out with 5mm spacers in the front and 15mm in the rear just to make them semi-flush.
They list a 9.5" +25 that would work better, but that all depends on your preference/alignment/suspension/bodywork/tire/etc.
27" OD is why they rub, must look like a roller skate.
As for sawblades, going over 225/50/16 on a 7" rim gave me a more vague, loose, feeling on the same compound. Never seen that the tiny bit of traction gained and the extra expense was worth that. You want wider tires, get wider wheels...
