People have matted 2jz's up to w58's and they have held up well...you can break any tranny if you are stupid. If you have a w58 just use that. If it breaks you can always buy one later...just don't drive stupid and it should hold up fine.
Upgrade your Turbo to a 57 Trim...You should get a fast spool if you have supporting mods plus it will last and should have no problem reaching these power goals.
are you still running the original HG? if so don't turn the boost up unless you have re torqued and even then I would be worried.
If the HG hasn't been replaced and doesn't have either ARP Bolts or Studs you will get BHG.
Keep it stock until then.
I didn't do a rebuild on my but I did replace the HG and replaced all the seals...I also tried running synthetic and my turbo start using a ton more oil then it was so I had to switch back and that helped a lot.
once I get a rebuild on the turbo I will try switching back.
I had this same problem with my car when I bought it, it ran just fine and no other signs of BHG...guess what it was though...BHG.
But this can also be caused from air being in the lines, over the weekend I dumped out half the coolant so I could put more Antifreeze in because my concentration...
we really need more info about your car, is it stock...if not what have you done to it? Did you use to be able to hear the turbo and then it stopped...do you have a boost gauge...if so what is it reading.
I know with the stock air box you can hardly hear the thing spool up...if you running...

I really think it being too cold 50? when the paint wants at least 70 cause it to be thick and not lay down right...if only we would have known we could have thinned it out some more and I think it would have looked real good other then all the crap getting in it from you dancing around in the...
Things are now moved up to 9am?
If so you may want to edit the first post....I didn't know that this had happened till someone told me and I had to read through all the post's to find it.
you,re only running 8psi I doubt you will be dynoing at 8psi next time...it will give you a decent base line...as long as its 3" all the way back without any restrictions there shouldn't be that much of a difference.
I'm running stock all the way back other then gutting the first 2 cats...it sucks but funds are major low...can't wait for tax time!
I will probably go Cooleeze or BIC DP, not sure yet about the rest other then it will be 3"
