the only cool thing about local auto parts stores is....well working at one (pep boys) is we have a commercial account with the local toyota dealership...i get discount parts and theyll even deliver them to me while Im at work you cant beat that! lol
When I first started my new motor with 3" turbo back straight pipe, then put a 3" straight though muffler on it there really wasnt that big of a reduction in noise...as IJ said there really is no silencing it.....just make sure you stay away from the gas petal when you pass the po po
I know there are quite a few people on here who dont like body work but for this purpose it does come in handy, This one is 29"X9"X 2.5" I could have fit bigger but this suits my needs for now
that might be possible, but the reason why I dont think that has much to do with it is because at idle it will change...for the first miniute or so it will sit around 12:1 then start getting rich without me doing a thing, and now that Ive put this other FPR on there it just dies after about...
ok, so heres the deal. This is a semi build that im just now getting going. Everything is together and it starts up fine although Im having some weird problems.
My biggest concern is it runs pig rich for the most part either 10:1 or off the chart on the AEM, then at other points it will start...
I work at an auto parts store and I dont even offer those plugs to customers unless they ask for them...if they ask me my opinion on them I tell them they are junk, I did try to use bosch 2+'s in my old NA motor because I was curious and they started missing within a couple hundred miles....so...
yeah, i know I could do that, but im talking about calibrating it so its right on I dont want to guess, im not sure how much different it is with a multimeter than the supra TPS
Ok, so I tried every wiring diagram out there for the Q45 and all of them pulled either a code 52 or 42. I talked to one of the local supra guys and he gave me a different wiring setup and it stopped all the codes I kept getting so I thought I would make a diagram and post it for anybody who was...
yeah, i know where its at but would you know what the plug looks like? I dont have a problem with the FFIM its getting the Q45 calibrated. Im on the right track though, ive got the Correct wiring for the TPS now, and im working on getting the idle down to normal, the throttle stop screw was set...
Ok, Ive finally got to the point where I've started my semi-build. It actually fired up fairly easy, not too many problems although I was wondering if anybody can help me with a few questions.
First one is Im having problems with the TPS, Im using a FFIM and a Q45, I now have the wiring...
has anyone ever heard of them? I have the chance to get a AFPR by them that is in top condition for a decent price, would this work on the supra? it ajusts up to 100psi but i cannot figure out if it is a rising rate. It came off a turbo car so Im assuming it is. Aparently they make a lot of high...
Is there any way that it could harm the tranny? Right now i dont really know how to hook it up with my FFIM and q45. Also, wouldnt the high pressure mean more flow through the cooler?
I know someone made a aftermarket valvebody for ours at one point, I just ran across it again not too long ago, in wasn't a 100% manual though. And I believe it was $800
