Agreed, I've been unhappy with any of the bolt on turbo offerings. My Turbonetics unit wasn't any easier, although it did bolt to the exhaust manifold without a spacer.
I've never used the CRC stuff, but as long as it's sticky stuff that's high temp resistant and never really dries, it should do the same thing. I've used Permetex without the thin anti squeal shims before with good results.
There are intrinsic problems with this as a strategy. The market for JZ / UZ parts *here* is very small. So small, you would never recoup your development costs. If you could appeal to their home market, you might have a chance... unfortunately, the JZ home market is SupraForums, and...
Are you talking about the recovering option that they sell? If so, it's really nice quality, a bit of a bitch to install, but ok if you have a GOOD set of side cutters and buy a pair of hog ring pliers. And a bunch of hog rings, of course. I did mine, they came out pretty damn nice. I...
Different paths are a pain in the ass, but not impossible to deal with. I spend a fair bit of time on my Ubuntu box trying to remember where exactly something is located.
I started writing it all down in a text file that I keep easily available. Once you've got that, most of the config issues...
Have you read http://viewvc.tigris.org/source/browse/*checkout*/viewvc/branches/1.1.x/INSTALL already?
VPN is running Debian??? Blink... blink... Does that mean your linux distro is Debian?
And *don't* turn the head upside down with the cams out, unless you really wanted to recalc and reshim the whole mess. Don't ask me how I know this, either. /me glowers...

I've been trying...
Ok, color me interested. I'd like the flashing to be significantly faster, though. A fair number of the big rigs around here are starting to convert to this type of brake light now, and I like it.
For a track car, what really matters is area under the curve, rather than rev limit. What you are looking for is something that produces a nice, flat, power curve over the widest RPM band possible.
Mostly, this is achieved by engineering two main items - how soon in the RPM band you can build...
