LED Brake light should be banned agree or disagree?

I don't have any problem buying a JDM engine, but I wouldn't put one in my car without taking it apart. The main reason for this is simply insurance. Look at it this way, there are three possible scenarios: 1. Buy engine and install in car without checking - cheapest in terms of both time and...

LED Brake light should be banned agree or disagree?

Put away the beer. You're talking madness. LED's are superior in every facet - faster to react, less power usage, longer service life, hell, you can even program them to display Hello Kitty patterns if that tickles your fancy. The European method of having them blink several times, then go...

Spare clips fit in there nicely, too. :)

There's nothing wrong with either engine, if done right. However, dropping an unknown condition engine in your car, whether it's a 2J, 7M, or SBC, is a recipe for disaster, IMO.

Agreed. There's no way I'd just drop an engine in one of my cars without breaking it open and checking it out, unless it came from someone I trust a LOT. Just for the pain in the ass factor alone - it's so much easier to check an engine when it's already on the stand, versus pulling it out of...

lol - sure, if you were looking at just the cost of the engine. Then you need to add in all the extra parts to simply mount it - like the new bellhousing, engine mounts, oilpan, and the like, the wiring headache, buying the stuff that didn't come with the engine - there always seems to be some...

$1000 is peanuts in the quest for a reliable, powerful car built in the 80s.

Ya, that's us. Do I remember correctly that you came out to SILV in 2008? If so, you've probably already met a bunch of us... PS: About Nash, don't hold your breath. His track record of making it out to shows is less than stellar. ;)

All my Exes are decent folk - and yours should be, too.

I've heard a lot of folks bad mouthing their Ex. She was a nutjob, he mentally abused me, she broke up with me via text message, he's a no good drunk, etc. I understand where the urge to slam them comes from, however, there are strong reasons to buck the trend. First, consider what it says...

I had the Serena + Jacob thing figured out, and I know that Jake = Reign. What I was missing was the Jacob = Jake bit. Makes quite the difference!

    Machine or new?

You betcha. Good chance the one to that bearing is clogged. Did you keep the bearing? Pics of it might tell the tale...

    Machine or new?

Machining should be much cheaper. FYI, a new crank from Toyota is $675 - $900, depending on your discount. New set of rods is between $410 and $580, depending on your discount.

    "safe" numbers for 7M-GTE internals

Sure it does. However, the LENGTH of the rod has an insignificant effect on the stroke. The stroke comes from the crank.
