Any recommendations for shop to rebuild Bilsteins?

I've got a set of rears, at least one of which is popped. I'd like to have them fixed before the summer rolls around.

We should petition to have these guys make coilovers for our cars...

Haven't seen these Penske units... where can they be had? What kind of price are they?

    How common is this issue??

Not that common at all... first off, it's a timing belt, and it's supposed to be dry. So if there is oil in there, it's coming from another seal.... cams, oil pump drive shaft, front main are all possibilities.

    Boost leak?!?

The hole isn't big enough to stop you from making boost. Plugging it will, however, drastically improve your spool times.

    parking brake backing plate/dust cover

Getting a set from a part out here should be pretty easy. Any of the internet friendly Toyota dealers should give you the price I mentioned... I use Vancouver Toyota in Washington State, personally. There's also Jay Marks in Texas and... Elmhurst on the east coast somewhere IIRC.

    battery relocation question

Depending on the shape of your chassis, you could theoretically just ground in the back, and run the wires that used to be in the front to the chassis as well. This uses the chassis itself as the ground. However, in a car that's seen a lot of use, corrosion, dirt, etc, can reduce the...

Quick Question on Maft Pro reacting with stock GTE ECU

I did *exactly* that with my 7M car. Built a second engine with forged pistons, had it sitting on a stand for when I popped the one in the car - which had a MHG and ARP bolts, but the pistons were still OEM. Pushed the power up, drove it for a couple weeks, pushed it up again, drove it, etc...

Quick Question on Maft Pro reacting with stock GTE ECU

Jordan, the MAFT pro does a slightly better job of part throttle than the older piggybacks, but bottom line, it still suffers the same challenges. For 500whp, I'd be upgrading to a standalone or forged pistons... or more likely both.

This Is Why A JZ Manifold Cannot Be Used On A 7M

I've done temp monitoring in traffic... temps spike when you're sitting at idle, stopped, but drop again in literally seconds as soon as you give the engine throttle.

Checking for codes can be done with a paperclip and some careful counting of the CEL flashes, and might shed some important light on the situation.
