i ran the lex/550 combo for over a year on an SP61GT up to 18 psi with out issue and was still pig rich. that said get it tuned with a WB02 and the safc to see the best power out of the setup. an AFPR is STRONGLY recommended for added flexibility.

i think what really happened was the lugs were over tightened and the studs sheared off. some of them look reallllllly short. all in all ouch!
