The q45 has a built-in idle up when cold (if you run coolant through the fittings) You will have to play with the adjustment screws to get the idle right when hot and cold. If you decide to run the stock ISC, don't run coolant through the q45 tb.

SS is the worst material you could use for an intake manifold. Yeah, it will look awesome and whatnot, but SS has the best heat retention properties of all metals, so you don't want it for an intake. Make it out of aluminum, cf, plastic , just not ss. Just my .02 cents. good luck!

We use mm/mg on our critical stuff at work. You breathe while you're tightening something or if somebody next to you farts, you're looking at replacing the fastener and recalibrating the wrench. Crazy!! :biglaugh:
I didn't hone mine out, but I stuck it (just the hub) in the oven for 30 min @ 300F. That was enough to make it slip easily. Once it cooled down, it was stuck!! It still came out easily with a hub puller though. Good luck and it sounds like you may want to test drive it to WA this weekend :)
Duane, don't break anything trying to install that hub :D You'd be lucky if it slips over the crank snout easily. Well, actually, if it slips too easy, be worried. It shoud be pressed fit.

My best looking welds I did with a 300tsw. Maybe the 185 is not getting hot enough. what gas are you using? have you tried argon/helium mix?
185 should be plenty though
Thanks!!!
Here's what Nate welded for me. It's one of the lower IC brackets :)
I modified a Z shift knob I got from my brother. It sits lower than the stock one. I drilled and tapped it :bigthumb:

I have not posted any pictures because I haven't setup my pc at the new place yet. But, I have been working on my instrument panel to semi flush mount the MoTeC display. It's all gutted out but I will still be using the tems leds for my turn signals. I painted the back of the clear plastic black...
On to the pictures, they are kinda crappy, sorry. Today,I welded the two O2 sensor bungs on the dp, bled the clutch system, and put a little bit of the interior back together.
