Idle adjustment screw, best thing Id ever found haha, along with fixing my ISC hose that was busted and dry rotted, and setting the timing back to 10* BTDC
Im no pro, but that doesnt sound like a BHG to me. Sounds like turbo seals from what I know. Have you looked around under the hood for any signs of anything busted?
Is there any heavy knocking?
I hate those douchebags lol, You can take it as a compliment though. I know being unique is important and all but just say ok as long as I get credit u can use it.
I made my layout, I like it, simple and explains my state of mind currently I guess. I plan on adding more when Im not so lazy
When you have issues still with ur first one, not much money, and somehow find a way to make sense out of why ur buying a second one, with a bhg, for more than u have right now.. true story
Dude I JUST had this problem, most likely 1 of 3 hoses, either the 2 connected to your EGR plate ont he back of the head, or the coolant hose connected to the metal line behind the block.... Its a bitch to get off and fix but it is possible.
He works with me, Im good lol.
Ill give it like 2 or 3 days for the ECU to learn shit again, like a damn 5 yr old kid.
If its still giving me shit... Ill just wait for the other car :)
Well heres where Im at today..
The ISC hose had a BAD crack in it, car was idling at 500 today, so I fixd that, it idled at 1000... :(
So I retimed it back to 10*, it idles around 750 -800 now, and I did it the right way... reset my ECU... Anywyas, it feels a tiny hestitant now, the car jsut...
On to my next project! Install my 2 new sensors, fix a seal, heatwrap the exhaust mani, put in my stock exhaust system and new cat.... then move on over to project 2.... :evil2:
::bhg:: thats all I can reveal for now lol (and no, not my current supra)
trust me guys, Im laughing at myself with this one, really, keep it comin this is something I overlooked severly. I wasnt full on attacking this one problem for 7 months but yeah...
Yeah when it was sitting at 750, he dropped the hood and goes Ok...
I said, what.. thats it?!
Yup, have fun...
So Ive had high idle for the longest time, it wasnt my time, it wasnt pirate air.
My idle had been sitting around 1000 to 1250 lately, and I have NEVER been able ot fix it. Ive reset timing alot lately, and today I about gave up when a tech at work said Hey I used to work on Toyotas, Im...
Ok someone posted that as a really BAD idea to do, forgot why, but yeah Im not stickin anything on my engine then to my temple LOL....
Need to find that post...
Oh my mistake, I remember reading something about injectors ticking when not working properly. Never heard of unplugging one to check for bearing issues.
mu immediate concern is getting my new fan clutch and fan blade on, and my new BVSV and Cold start injector timing switch on. Which reminds me, also need a soldering gun... todays gonna get expensive.
