So Ive had high idle for the longest time, it wasnt my time, it wasnt pirate air.

My idle had been sitting around 1000 to 1250 lately, and I have NEVER been able ot fix it. Ive reset timing alot lately, and today I about gave up when a tech at work said Hey I used to work on Toyotas, Im certified, want some help? lol I said ok sure, he goes did u adjust that? he points to the hole on the TB above the ISC hose going into it. I was like what? Isnt that blocked off, he goes no look inside.. its a screw.... I feel DUMB. He goes ok get in, start it, and watch, he turns the fuckin screw, it idles down to 750 and sits PRETTY AS HELL. I drove her home, and not a single vibration, she felt strong, and at idle, I could swear the car wasnt even ON

Im so fuckin happy and Im still not done putting all my new parts on it.

In other news, shes getting a sister in 1 1/2 months... a BIG sister... :)

If project 2 has some some of problem like...I dunno- it runs rough maybe,
check to make sure it has six spark plugs.
:naughty:

Just kidding (I couldn't resist)
Honestly- who here HASN'T had a brainfart, and overanalyzed a problem on their Supra, only to find out it was something simple? My car ran terrible till I realized I never connected the AFM.

Well heres where Im at today..

The ISC hose had a BAD crack in it, car was idling at 500 today, so I fixd that, it idled at 1000... :(

So I retimed it back to 10*, it idles around 750 -800 now, and I did it the right way... reset my ECU... Anywyas, it feels a tiny hestitant now, the car jsut feels like it doesnt have its power.... no torque still, I cant get this figured out.

if you reset the ecu it often takes some driving to get everything sorted.

mine used to do the same thing. idles a bit high, and at times it would even idle a bit low. have a bit of hesitation to it as well.

id give it a go for a bit then see where you are.

good luck
