I am on the stinger ema so the rear cam sensor is the only one connected. I will try swapping sensors and see if that solves the problem. It is weird that I have spark though. I will let you know my results tomorrow.
I just tested all my cam and crank sensors yesterday and I had similar results. I have confirmed that all my sensors are working. I think the TSRM for the crank sensor is incorrect as my crank sensor does indeed work.
Changed out the crank sensor today and I do indeed have spark. I still have no fuel being injected into the car. I am going to try and throw in the stock injectors and get my blitz 850cc injectors checked out. Is it possible that if 1 injector failed it would cause the rest not to fire?
I checked the resistance of both sensors and they are about the same so I am not convinced but I will see what happens tomorrow. It is a very frustrating problem.
Well I just checked again today and I do not have spark. I borrowed a coolant temp sensor and a crank sensor from a friend today and will see if that works. If not it has to be the wiring.
Well I just completed my single 1JZ swap. I took the harness out of my working 1JZ car and swapped blocks to a lower mileage 1JZ. I put the engine in the car and it started up but only ran for 20 seconds and then the engine died. At the same time the battery died. I let the battery charge...
Well I just checked it out and I decided to pull all my plugs first. What do you know cylinder 6 was filled with fuel which would explain the massive amounts of compression and the engine stopping at TDC. After I got the engine all cleared up she fired first shot. Only problem was it died and I...
Well I just finished completing my 1JZ single turbo swap and I was hoping to fire the engine today. I pulled the efi fuse so I could prime the turbo with oil and I went to turn the motor over. At first it sounded ok and it cranked for about a second or less and then it just stopped. The engine...
Yes smoke at idle after a pull is a sign that the turbos may be out. Then again I drove my car for 2 summers like that and the stock twins still pull hard. It is just embarrassing when you sit at lights hahah.
Well i guess I spoke to soon the wires did infact break. I was thinking of just solding some wires directly to the cam sensors and then use some connectors I have back from the RC days so I can disconnect it if need be. Any objections?
I was checking over my wiring before installing my 1JZ into the car and noticed that my front cam sensor wires going into the plug are starting to fail. The wires are still connected but the insulation has broken right at the plug. I was wondering if there is a way to take apart the connector so...
I would get a wideband and see what AFR's you are running. It appears you are just running rich and carbon fouling your plugs. I really doubt it is your igniter as ignitors either work or they do not. As suggested, check your ecu for leaking capacitors. The ecu is one of the many overlooked...
