To be safe don't drive it until you replace it. Bleeding won't help it since it runs off the vacuum from the intake manifold.

My steering column only locks in one position and that is all the way down. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it? I have a complete column still sitting in the 87 turbo and the tilt functions properly. Should I just swap them?

If you're talking about the sawblades then use this stuff. You can pick it up at O'Reilleys or just about any auto parts store. It works extremely well

When it's running, try wiggling them. If the car dies, then there's your problem. I have to wiggle mine to start it sometimes. My wires are going bad down at the base where they go into the cps. Here's a pic of the wires. CPS on turbo replaced distributor.
