its from running rich, usually happens from venting the bov to the atmo. the cats would normally keep the flame in check but since they arent there its a more direct route w/o interfierence (sp)
i used my Boost Logic on a ct26 while i was inbetween turbos. no problems minus needing to remove the studs (not really needed but didnt want to risk tearing the blanket)
worked fine, you could touch the blanket after a hard drive w/o getting burned
thank God someone else is thinking the same way I am! I'm so sick and tired of this end-of-the-world mentality. Every conversation with my folks (my father specifically) is that the COL is going to raise to $100k/year, gas at $5 a gal, etc etc that its really depressing
if you are pulling it out of an IS they had the w55 tranny in them and its pretty rare to find. we recently had a thread about this over on my.is trying to adapt the 2jz - w58 combo and it was determined to be difficult but possible (main problem was length of the shift linkage). I agree with...
i would actually like a full indepth discussion on this topic as i have a 10k foot view of how the manifold and air volume works but i would like something a bit more detailed.... in!
the vans over all arent that bad but yet the trans suck hardcore! rebuild it and let it ride as long as you dont mind rebuilding the tranny every few years
good! im a huge fan of their ASX tire (have it on the supra and will be running it on the lex soon) and honestly they are my favorite tires thus far. glad to hear they are going to be create some more jobs here!

/\ pretty much sums it up though I have to agree with TJ as it was alot slower, both in performance and in traffic than it is now. All the changes I see are for the better from pre to post crash SM. Maintaince and a SM who gives a shit apperently does wonders for a forum....
ps. to the OP...

plus im not 100% sure that the bearings are really bad. i am under the impression that the main cause of rod knock is one of 2 things:
1. Low/No oil situations (owner neglict)
2. BHG leading to water contamination in the oil causing bearing failure.
I don't see how having a fully...
yes but minus the standalone. unless you are shooting for over 500rwhp i dont see a strong need to spend that kind of cash.
fast, reliable, cheap. pick 2
