ok here the answer to the OP. 5 spokes started in 90 on the white package only 91-92 got them on all cars. they are 16x7, same as sawblades but alot nicer. the mk4 has 2 variants. the NA models are 16 in and the TTs are 17. The mk4s are wider also.

there are 3 styles and the redesigned ones are the best out of them all. the old NAs were the easiest to read (yellow handle) and the black t was better design but harder to read. the newest one is the easiest to use and looks the best!
