I too thought the light staying on was weird. My guess of fuel cut, the light comes on, and goes back out pretty quickly. After checking codes, don't panic, and go buy an ECU. Most codes list that as a possible problem. Report back here what you find, and you may get help right in this thread...

My left hand sits at about 11:30 on all wheels, leaving the right hand free for shifting. I like the positioning of this particular switch, because in casual (cruise) driving, that free hand can sit on my knee to adjust the CC.
