I bet the JJ fellow is talking about real world results. On most MKIII's and really most old toyota vechicles have alot of hoses that are 25 30 years old. They fit properly and if you make sure the metal fittings are clean and use new Toyota spring clamps they are good for another 20 plus...
First I would talk to the shop about what happened. Show them the pics you have. Have them write up an RO and inspect all external fasteners they can get to.
I wonder what else may have been missed. Anyone can make a mistake. And maybe it could be just one loose bolt.
Have Them inspect...
I would get the "gates" hoses from Driftmotion. If you are on a budget. Otherwise I would get all new OEM Toyota hoses. OEM will run you several hundred dollars. I don't think the silicone hoses will go 10 plus years without fail. IMO
You may have to have it done locally and dyed to match. I have maroon leather in the black supra and they do not match. They are close. A little more "brown " than the rest of leather. The fronts only were done. I am suprised that no one else sees it. They all say how nice the interior...
If the camber adjusting bolts turn freely I don't see how your tabs got bent over. Heck they probably have been bent over everytime an alignment was done since 1989. They should have sold you more stuff before trying an alignment. Why not take the car to a Toyota dealer for an alignment...
I like the first hold down better. Either would be ok.
Off topic, Can you take a better picture of the black engine compartment. I would like to see how you have the throttle mechanism working. Looks nice with no throttle bracket and stuff going over cylinder head.
I am thinking hard...
To compare you should use 4th gear with manual and 3rd gear in auto. Same 1:1 ratio.
I guess that the auto will kick down to lower gear at wot. Unless you unplug autoecu.
I am sorry, I guess was was trying to say. Unless you can show a EWD with you mods. It will be hard to help. Again I was not trying to ruffle any feathers.
