I saw that you replaced rods to get correct side clearance. However did you replace the rods that had spun bearings. If you spin a bearing you need to replace the rod.
You can use plastigauge to get a rough idea of clearance. Now days they sell some ok mics at reasonable prices and get some...
The best thing to do is mod a car that does not even run correctly. If you go about it like you say you are you will soon call your car a pos.
And then jump on the idiot owner "junk 7m club" It should be "idiot owner club who destroyed a 7m"
Good luck and get the cart behind the horse.
Should have taken it to the Toyota dealer. They would have used the correct oil pan sealer. I bet it would not have cost much more and probably fixed right the first time.
First, I would like to thank Morganson and Nathan for you Ideas and design of this GREAT COP set up.
Nathan I would like a plate with tubes going to 46064.
And I will PM for the harness.
^^^^ What he said. He will probably take the time and know what you need. Not just put you on hold and say no in a minute or so. That is why I ask did you go in person and look at parts break down and see them type in number. The can also check stock at there DC and the others in the country.
Do you "know it will have 12 volts". Or does it actually have 12 volts where required. Some one is trying to walk you through the way they would go about diagnosing a circuit. And you don't seam to want to do it. IMO Good luck.
Sorry I missed that. How long for the new plug to get fouled? How about a pic of the intake ports. I don't see piston and cylinder the problem if you measurements are correct. You are sure the rings are not on upside down.
Hey did you also install a new plug when changing the plug wire. A...
How about this theory. You had a misfire caused by bad wire or coil. The now firing plug of course shows oil on plug due to non firing of plug. A non firing cylinder usually has low compression due to fuel washing down cylinders. Maybe instead of a tear down you need to fix a misfire caused...
Only Toyota makes them. A lot of leaks can be fixed by checking a few things.
Clean your seals and lube with a silicone spray.
Make sure you install top while on a level surface.
Tighten up top in the proper order.
If you have done all this and it still leaks you are going to need new...
If your new wheel and lug nuts are tapered, you will be ok. I would still try to get centering rings. If the wheel and lug nuts are like factory Toyota alloy wheel lug nuts, flat with a washer. You need centering rings.
I can't wait to see a picture of them our your car.
Do you own a multimeter? If not you need to get one. I suggest a fluke dm115, cheap only $145 on amazon. Easy to use. Even has min-max at this price. Gutting a car to look for wiring issues is as dumb as looking for a needle in a hay stack with out a metal detector. The same thing with a...
From the looks of your pictures those have been leaking for years. Unless you have oil pouring out and running on the ground you can still drive it.
Most cars that go low on oil and get the 'dreaded rod knock' are burning oil..
People now days are to dumb to check oil level on a regular...
The loose set up may be true. But then how can a stock block MKIV make 650 rwhp all day long on stock clearances?
The factory engine is what most people would call "blueprinted". Select fit bearings that are .0001 difference.
And select fit pistons to bore.
Plus one to what he said. ^^^
Another good thing to look at is the POWER SOURCE section of the EWD. The 20A wiper fuse is supposed to power three things. Front and rear wiper and headlight washer.
As you can see on the other hand the 7.5 gauge fuse runs about half of the car.
Most...
