    What a dead hole!

A few pics popped up of that show... not many of the usual crowd around, though.

Later is better IMO... I don't mind showing up in Boise at 7pm, if it means I don't have to leave home at 4am.

    Really Stupid Coolant Issue.

Check the hoses to the overflow. If you have a hole (even a small one) in the one inside the overflow tank, it will spit coolant into the tank as usual, and suck up only air. Cycle this a few times and you're low on coolant. They aren't high pressure lines, so you don't have to test them hard.

There is a 'passenger' model available, and the difference as far as I could see was an extra mount that allows 5 point harnesses instead of just 4. If that's what they were selling, it's more money from everyone else as well. No clue why Recaro would call it a passenger model, though.

Oh, nothing special there, just an ebay vendor. They still have them available. http://stores.ebay.com/Synergy-Motors/_i.html?rt=nc&_sid=24847217&_sticky=1&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14&_sop=3&_sc=1

What did it cost you to have them refurbished? If this style is going away, I'll likely be looking into the same thing several years from now, because I don't like the new style at all.

It looks like this model is going away, so if you ever want to have matching seats, buying two is a good idea. $1400 now is far better than $700 now, plus $1800 x 2 later down the road for a current model.

All the parts were painted separately. Taking them off was easy.

Recaro Speed, and no, you have to buy separate sliders and then either fab or purchase brackets as well. I had mine fabbed by a local wizard... err, I mean, shop employee.

Did some more work on the car today... replaced a bunch of old, ugly bolts in the engine bay with these guys, and put in new hood stops. Also spent some time re-aligning the popup headlight assembly and the hood latch. Shiny bits. SS bolts with machined aluminum washers. New rubber hood...

Best seats I've ever tried. Aftermarket Recaros are awesome. Don't try to compare them to the OEM Supra Recaros, those aren't nearly as nice. If you come to one of the shows you're welcome to sit in 'em.

New Recaros installed, bracket fabbing courtesy of Tommy at The Independant Speed Shop. Pardon the usual terrible pictures... I really need to learn something about photography one of these days. Passenger side: The nice shiny new style sliders. Much better than those really annoying...

I don't like the idea of settling for something less than what I might end up using. Might as well go and save myself the cost of buying in too low and having to fork out again for upgrades later.

~$220 per door from Toyota. I'm sure that aftermarket glass would be less if you could find it. Well, the first problem is that I need to buy a welder, and I suspect that I need to get a 220v outlet in the garage to power it.

So, both new door windows are in. The first one took six hours and more than half a dozen attempts. Second guessing the TSRM is, as usual, a bad idea. Follow their damn steps! The second one was complete in well under an hour. As it turns out, aligning everything so the window goes up far...
