Hey, I think you're cheap, but I don't go around posting it everywhere.

Some actual pics of the brake installation. AP Racing 4 piston calipers, 12.75" DBA rotors, Goodridge lines, ARP wheel studs, new wheel bearings, custom spacer that makes the rotors hubcentric on one side and the wheels on the other. PS: Yes, those are brand new fender liners from...

No idea, I haven't been involved yet. A fair number of the clubs over here require membership, though - all the autox groups I'm aware of do as well.

There is definitely some autox on the menu for the coming year, but what I'm looking forward to is a few days on a real track. I'll probably race the road courses at Mission and SIR, but I'm really excited to try The Ridge in Washington state.

1.5 hours, huh? The thing is, I'd like all the screws, bolts, etc to be reinstalled properly after you're 'done'. I have all the right tools, and I've done it before. It still takes a long time. I can pull the engine faster than the heater core.

When I had the windshield replaced last summer, it had a leak. Right around the rear view mirror. Also directly above the stereo. Said stereo started developing gremlins, which annoyed me, so it's now sitting on my garage floor, while this has been installed in the car. Never was happy with...

Had Bill & Tommy at the Independent Speed Shop do some work for me while I was away in the Caribbean soaking up the rays. This cut a pretty large slice off of my todo list, and, as always, I'm really enjoying the quality of work I get out of these guys. There aren't a lot of people I'll let...

You betcha. Still running stock swaybars, and if anything is going to break, I'd rather it was a $9 plastic part.

    4 Gauge for batt relocation?

The ground path is just as important, however, the car uses the body as the ground path. There's a LOT more conductor in the body than there is in either of the cables listed. The only weak link is old grounding straps with less than flawless connections.

Did some digging, I see they only list Windows XP / 7, no 8. Wonder if that really is my problem...

I tried to log in several times over the weekend, and kept running into problems... I'm wondering if it hates Win8.

Stupid Question time - Driving from Canada to US

How exactly would folks in California know whether a certain bit was required or not in a foreign country? Catalytic converters haven't been around forever. What are they going to do if I drive down in my friend's 32 Ford? It doesn't have cats. Never has.

There are also gaskets that go between the engine block and the rear timing cover bits. They are rarely bad, and ever more rarely replaced.

vibrations at idle, with new engine mounts.

The two mounts in the front are plenty when there's no tranny attached. I've started these sitting on a wooden frame with nothing attached, not even a radiator. No flywheel shouldn't matter - these are supposed to be neutral balanced for each part, you don't need the entire rotating assembly...
