I bought a VPC from Japan for a 7MGTE with 440's. I compared the data on that chip vs a USDM 440 chip a friend had and they did not match at all.

You should add in ensuring the shifter is in neutral before removing it from the tranny. I've had to deal with one removed while the tranny was still in a gear.

It sure is, with steady state. Note how rpms shoot up to 4k (held by the dyno even at WOT), and then boost builds. Look closely at the start of the video, you can see the a Dynapack attached to the rear hubs. They even say it in the text "On Load, On boost..." The turbo spools fine for a bit...

That was a on a load bearing dyno, notice rpm is held at just over 4000 (top left of video on dyno screen).

Ahh, that's a good one, it's caught a few people that I know but I never think of it when troubleshooting this issue.

The AEM EMS does not have any volatile ram, meaning it does not lose any settings without power. I disconnect my battery everytime after getting back home. The only thing I could see being related is the battery voltage is too low - you might try charging it overnight.

What year/model of car are you getting the 1zz coils from? Any chance you could see if one that you have fits on a 7M?

What motor are you putting the 1zz coils on? Aljordan and I gathered measurements from a number of different 1/2 zz coils and most will end up occupying the same space as the hood (stock) on a 7M.
