If you're just starting out do lower intensity full body routines to condition your muscles and more importantly condition your joints. Also, taking the time to learn how to perform an exercise properly will save you a lot of...
Hmm, actually you have a good point that I should have thought of. I need only the terminals and can reuse the connector from another igniter. I want this mod to be plug compatible with a stock igniter so if it fails I can plug a spare igniter in and change the ignition back to multiplexed...
LOL, agreed here. Something you don't know until you try to cut a piece of SS braided hose to length and after running it on a car for a while. It's a bitch to cut and will wear through anything it touches. It's also conductive! :aigo:
However, the Earl's lines I've used - autoflex...
Good find!
Any chance you could point me to the connector hoods and terminals for the 7MGTE igniter? I need the igniter side, not the engine harness side.
B = 18mm
K = 5/8 hex, projected tip
R = Resistor
7 = heat range
E = thread reach of 19mm
I'm not saying it has the same resistance as another model of plug, but it does have a resistor. It likely won't have the exact same resistance of an iridium plug, but should be close to the BCPR...
I have successfully mounted several AEM EMS's in the stock location by using the supplied velcro pad and two long double sided velcro straps. Placing the velcro pad between the crash bar and the EMS helps hold the EMS in place as you arrange the straps and provides some cushion. Run the straps...
Funny, I consider having to add an ignition amp a lame band aid fix to the shortsighted design of the AEM EMS. Better to mod the AEM EMS for sequential.
I do agree that the OP's plugs are the wrong choice, however 7 is COLDER than 6 and BKR's do have resistors. BCPR6ES works great for me...
My check for last year was a little bit too big. :icon_mad:
The gov doesn't give you interest on money you loan them but they will charge interest on money you owe!
As Doward said, those who can tune are putting to good use all of those classes most everyone sleep through. Chemisty, Physics, Math. You cannot stop here though. A good understanding of mechanics, electronics, and computers are a must.
What smoked? My guess would be the traces on the board. The FET should have been able to handle it, though GEMs/AEMs idea of heat sinking and the wiring for the FET's used for injectors is a joke.
I just realized the 2nd is the day after the 1st. The 1st is "Night of the Casks" up in Dayton. Rare cask aged beers via a $40 ticket purchased a month ago. I highly doubt I will be making a 2.5hr drive each way the day after in a 600rwhp bright red car. We'll see, stranger things have happened.
