Just a word of advice for moving forward..........You will have to take the bolts out of the pressure plate (through the slave cyl hole or inspection panels) before the tranny will come off.

Are you stock or modified? Boost controller? That'd be about the only way it could be complicated.

It hasn't been said in here yet that a Manual Boost Controller is almost as cheap as those 10 washers, and is a much better way.

Pics? Really! Depending on the washers used, you could have damaged the diaphragm in the wastegate.

I would place my jack under the bellhousing of the tranny, and lift only enough to get the mount out. I definitely wouldn't put the weight of the motor on something connected to the rotating assembly.
