    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

Well I did get a little done today after all. I have been in and out all day in shifts. I got my Cam Cover gaskets replaced first. I had to stop in the middle of the first one, and run to buy an inch-pound torque wrench. I got home with that, and found that it is good from 120-960 inch-pounds...

The FIPG Thread (Form in place gasket)

I just bought a tube of FIPG from Toyota, and I would like to see any tips, tricks, strange uses, facts, EQUAL alternatives, or other information about this stuff. I had one tube before, and I never used it. I let Noah89T use some of it once, but that's it. Now that I needed it, it was hard in...

    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

A little more progress to report. I got the clutch pedal and master installed in the car yesterday. Brake pedal will be today. I also did get the housings removed from my wiring harness as promised. That's where a speed bump presented itself. Doing the swap requires you also rearrange which...

    I Seek Fuel Pressure Clearification

Jdub look at the numbers. They prove out that he left out the value for vac on. With a 1/1 increase from 35, 15 would put him at 50. He stated 43.5, so obviously the pressure vac on he has must be 28.5.

    Changing Camshafts

Don't blame the 7M! I can't tell you the info you need to know. But, I can tell you that you will have the same type issues with every motor you try to swap out cams in. You will need to keep you clearances within factory specs I'm sure. If Toyota doesn't still sell them, I would think you...

    ForcedTorque's Slick/Quick Build

Today's progress will be hindered by going with my son to pay off his new 240SX. It will be dark once I get home, so I will probably only be able to work on some wiring. I'm going to try to at least get the housings off of my harness tonight, and maybe get one or two of the new ones installed.

Power Steering Pump/Parts Washer : Educate me please

I have a couple of questions. First, I was just given a parts washer. What type of solvent do I want to use in it? The first part I need to clean is my Power Steering Pump. Is there anything I need to not let the solvent get into? How would I block it from getting into the vacuum nipples...

    AEM tru-boost 7M-GTE...

19PSI on a stock fuel pump? You upgraded you injectors and FPR, but not the pump. A Walbro is cheaper than your ARP head bolts. Get one before you blow that thing up! Are you monitoring your air fuel mixture?

thinking about buying a 91 turbo

91/92's are pretty limited, and thus worth more than other years. I would only borrow the parts from the N/A to put this one back together. Keep the N/A, and slowly buy the parts you need to put it back together as well. You're not truly a MKIII owner if you only have 1.

    Dash brace spring

I checked mine out at lunch. My brake pedal is sitting in the floor right next to the spring. I guess I will have to pay attention to the outcome of this, as I am installing that brake pedal in my new shell soon. If I get it installed, and spring hung before you get it solved, I will post a picture.
