I just instaled my tru-boost a coupler a weeks a go and I still have some problem to manage boost spike, I post my spec. on AEMPower.com no response yet, maybe here im gone find somebody to help me a bit

My setup:

stock rebuilt CT-26, PTE 550cc, V8 Lex AFM, Areomotiv FPR, stock fuel pump, full 3' exhaust, Tanabe Medaillon Tourning Cat-Back, High Flow Cat,stock piping, stock IC
oversize forge Probe piston, 2mm HKS MHG, ARP head studs and rods studs..

I made on the dyno last week-end 292.8 WHP & 393.8 ft/lbs of torque At 18-19PSI

My problem now is I got a lot of boost spike and at low gear it boost less then at high gear a +/- 3-4 PSI

the is my Tru-Boost setting

scb - 76% 19.5 PSI just under my fuel and I hit fuel cut a 20.4PSI
scr - 15 sec.
sen - 1
ala - 19 PSI
spr - 5.50 I play with it with not much result at 6.8 its worse
ful - 20.0
a - 72% for around 16-18 PSI
b - 68% for around 14-15 PSI

Thankx for the helping

19PSI on a stock fuel pump? You upgraded you injectors and FPR, but not the pump. A Walbro is cheaper than your ARP head bolts. Get one before you blow that thing up! Are you monitoring your air fuel mixture?

have you adjusted the duty cycle?.... i was having issues until I adjusted it correctly.... duty cycle is the percentage of time the solenoid vents the wastegate to atmosphere (0psi) but if it's too high (more boost, faster, quicker spool) then you will get boost spikes in lower gears

19psi on a stock fuel pump is a BIG no no, but your also running a stock Ct26 up too that too??? :aigo: Its efficiency runs out at 14psi, nothing but a hot charge past that. Upgrade the fuel pump before you do some damage and move to a 57trim atleast.

As for the boost pressure problems, you could start by checking the wastegate actuator for weakness and look for piping leakage.

My Settings:
Not running scramble boost:
scb - N/A
scr - N/A
sen - 1
ala - 22PSI
spr - 2 boosts better the high but you get spikes if you go up to high, basically just keep upping it until you get a spike and then back it back a bit
ful - 24 PSI
a - 45% for around 17-18 PSI
b - 52% for around 20.5-21.5 PSI

All in all the gauge is not that consistant and I have had troubles with it from the begining. Never really held boost steady.
