Whats up guys, Im fixing to tow my new project home tommorow and was wondering kinda what I will be up against installing a new motor. As far as I know all the wiring is still in the car along with the trans. List of parts that I know I need will follow...

Engine
Radiator
Intercooler
I/C Piping
Clutch kit
Drive shaft

I do have mechanical skills but when it comes to electronics Im kinda in the dark so that is what im stressing about on this car:1zhelp:. Plus I want to try and do some upgrades turbo and engine wise to make a quick street beater. Any input or tips would be greatly appriciated. Thanks guys.

quick street beater = 240sx not a supra :)

What year is the car? because if the computer is missing you might need to hunt that down and year does make a difference.

With the motor you will need a lot of misc. pieces like your maf, FPR, etc. The car was originally a turbo or NA?

Alright well you have a good tranny (hopefully the R154) and a decent body. Search locally for a decent motor that is running because you can always refreshen it.

I'd go hunting aftermarket parts now like intercooler, turbo, bov and such and do it all at once.

You do have a daily driver still right? You might need it for awhile if you want to do this right ;)

Well I got the car home last night and found more parts then I expected. Thrown in the back were the p/s pump, lower intake, timing cover, shifter assy, turn signal lenses, rear wing, lower chin spoiler, center console trim, a good Aiwa CD player and lots of misc brackets and crap. But I got it home finally, and as soon as more funds are put back I'll get it running again.

Finally after some while I have the car running and driving. Much thanks goes out to too_stand for helping me with all the parts including a great engine! I used alot of new Toyota parts as well and replaced all hoses, seals and vacuum lines that could cause later problems. Plus I dont the SOGI shifter mod. As of now I have the waste gate shimmed and boosting around 10psi running great! Dont worry the head bolts are torqued to proper specs...

Heres a few pics.... The hood and windshield are now fixed lol.
