Lol, yeah I took it back...And told them I want my money back and to put it back the way it was before they screwed with it. I lost .8 seconds in the quarter mile because of them. Last I heard, the ricers won't even go there.

I have daily driven my car for four years and 30k miles without an EGR setup. Removed the canister also with no ill effects. I'm not saying you will have the same results, but just saying I haven't had any issues.

You will know your heater core crapped out if you have coolant leaking onto your passenger side floorboard, or you get an oily film on the inside of your windows.

Lol, sorry about that. We tend to go off track a bit around here. If it were me, I would just buy a new one. I know there are other solutions, and cheaper. But I just spent the $140 from Toyota for a brand new one without the hassle of doing any modification. I also know it should last...

No kidding. It won't be a subtle leak. Lol, I tried to fix mine after the plastic corroded out. Didn't work out so well. So I bought another one from a member here. Good luck.

Unless I'm terribly confused, you won't have any heat without it. I say this because, when mine went tits up, I had no heat. Also, if you disable the unit by removing the vacuum line from the diaphragm on top, you will lose heat.

You need it if you ever want to have heat again.

I've had to deal with incompetent dyno people before. I know how you feel. My experience is a little different however. I was having my car tuned, and after I left the shop, I was -40hp from when I came in. The dumbass owner was like, "Just drive it, it will feel faster".

If it is the valve, a quick temporary fix would be to take off the vacuum line from the diaphragm on top of the heater control valve, and replace it with the other vacuum line that is plugged into the electrical part of the valve.

It does work. Also, if you have another car with plastic headlight lenses, and you get that fogged over look, just rub some crisco on them. They shine like new.
