Today I washed my car, and did not realize until i finished that I had left my climate control on 78 with the engine off for a good 45 minutes (had the key in the on position to stop the beeping with the doors open and have music..) - not sure if this is the culprit, but I now have no heat. I have checked all of my vacuum lines, and all are connected, no visible leaks.

Anybody have any knowlege on what might be wrong?- or if I fried my heater core, maybe even blew a fuse by leaving the climate on...

Thank you.

There have been times when I have had to cycle mine all the way through the temps to get heat going again. Turn it all the way up to 85° then go all the way down to 65°. Then set it to desired temp and see if that works. Fan speed and zone selection dont seem to affect it.

You will know your heater core crapped out if you have coolant leaking onto your passenger side floorboard, or you get an oily film on the inside of your windows.

Thanks for the input. But after a little more inspection, my heater core is fine, but my vsv is toast. So ill probably bypass it until I can get a new one. Has anyone used the mercedes vsv?
