    AFPR No change Vac on/off?

Why would I not even think of the ISC???????? Another not so brilliant moment. Anybody know if one off of a 5M would work? Seems like I remember it looking exactly the same. Or, how about one from an N/A?

    AFPR No change Vac on/off?

But I figured that out on my own. Oh, and your spelling there was not one of yours:evil2:

    AFPR No change Vac on/off?

Also, I guess it could be assumed.........but this was noticed with the motor NOT running. I had the diagnostic block jumpered, so fuel was pumping. This could explain the no vacuum, I guess?

    AFPR No change Vac on/off?

I had one until 2 weeks ago when the last minor hurricane came through the area. Seems there was some sort of power surge. My compressor, and several other electronics that were set out to the street shortly afterward must have all been hit during the storm, which did little other damage...

    AFPR No change Vac on/off?

I am having trouble getting my car to start. It was running OK, but having idle problems (changing sporadically from 500 to 2000rpm). It gradually got harder and harder to start, and has finally gotten to where it won't start at all. In my search for what the problem could be, I have noticed...

    Question regarding radio wire harness

Thanks for posting the pics you did. Now we can all speak with a little bit more information. Neither of those are the complete dash harness. You would connect 86203 to the plugs that were cut off of your harness, if they were there. I would think that the wires from 86203 would match up to the...

    Fun with harness!

Are you dealing with a junkyard, or an individual? You'd probably be better off with a junkyard than a Supra enthusiast. Some of the grey ones can still be ordered through Toyota, and sourced out of Japan for roughly $550 (brand new). The yellow plugged ones are all getting pretty brittle, and...

David recently bought the 89. He went to NewYork/NJ to get it. He took me for a short ride, and it definitely feels like it would give Jay a good run. It has been a while since I have been in Jay's car though. Riding in Davids car is motivating me to want to work on my car now that the bad...

    what year motor?

You need to get a harness that matches the VIN number for the car you are using it in! They will almost all fit the engine bay fine (a few changes over the years, but not bad), but you will have a hard time matching up under the dash, on the plugs away from the ECU. There are plenty of...

    Fun with harness!

+1 This is SO true. I don't know where the thinking came from that all you need to do is find out if it is grey or yellow. I've moved my motor from a 90 to an 89, and now to a 92. All use grey , but each time, I have swapped or re-pinned the harnesses.

    Question regarding radio wire harness

Check to be sure the stereo plugs work with these plugs before doing anything. If they don't work, you could get a newer radio to fit the new wiring for only a few dollars. You could match wire colors to the cut wires, and attach with butt connectors. This sounds like it is the entire...

    Question regarding radio wire harness

Stereo plugs did change between 86.5 and 87. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out why you need two different harnesses though. I'm pretty sure that the stereo wiring is just a part of the dash harness, that unplugs when you remove the dash.

    no crank for 5

It sounds more like it is taking a little time for the signal to start cranking the engine. The cold start injector would do it's job after the motor starts cranking. Check your grounds and wiring. Test that you get 12+volts at the solenoid when the key is turned to the start position.

You can feel confident that it is in good hands now. With Jay's Supra love, Ricky Bobby's knowledge, and Driftmotion's excellence, , how could you go wrong.

    bye bye supra

Surely there is a fine you can pay to get it back. That really sucks they can just take it.

David, don't make me be the one to post pictures of the 89! I believe it would challenge as the fastest MKIII in the state. It may or may not be, but if not, it is close.

So it got so bad you had to send it back to the Supra factory in Alabama? If I had any money, I'd trailer mine up there and leave it until all of my little issues were figured out.
