There is a reason most of you snow people store the Supra during the winter! You could have beaten the storm getting there, had you been a little luckier, but you would have still needed to get home.
Were you and the GF in 2 separate cars from the start?
OK, I did the two tests above.
Test 1 - No Voltage coming to the light = Fail
Test 2 - Grey/Green wire continuity = Pass
I pulled all of the fuses in the fuse box, and found one 15 amp Cig fuse blown. I replaced it.
There are a couple of changes that I noticed either before or after that...
Joe, whenever you do the swap, please post pictures of of the pull/install. In my extremely limited experience viewing Mr2's, I can't for the life of me see how that is done mentally. This is partly due to an Alabama brain I guess.
Boostin 89.....please put your avatar on an auto transport...
Yes, this was David Zamora's (FSTOY) old car. He owned the car for 6 years, and put about 4000 miles on it. It was always garage kept, but rats do get into garages. I believe he sold his motor out of the car over a year ago.
He had a large amount of gauges and such in the car when I bought...
Yes, you can do it. I don't think you can make it as open as the new ones though. Jdub used to sell a ported one. It was not close to the wide open 3" ones on the market today. I have one for sale if you are interested
I see it now. It looks like the Mustang was reeling in the Supra at the top of the hill. Was it over by then? Or was the 1JZ having trouble climbing the hill?:biglaugh:
Thanks for the replies guys. Bear with me, as I am no wiring genius. I can test for voltage and continuity, but I am a newb with those as well. I'll answer questions to the best of my ability.
The harness is made for an 89. It was a year old when I installed it in my 89, and I put a couple...
If I only had a brain! The one I have processes way too slow.
I started out finding the wire color was Blue with a yellow stripe. I looked through the thread that showed me how to re-pin my harness, and there is a wire of that color, that is supposed to go to the M3 plug. When I did the...
I believe I just found the problem. I am not getting 12 volts (or any at all) to the igniter. Now I have to figure out how to fix that. I'm assuming that it has something to do with the wiring harness. It was running, so I know it was getting 12 volts. There were some pins that didn't fit the...
Brad should get much more recognition than what he does for the efforts that have been put into this car. It is phenomenal, both in appearance and performance.
He should come to Mobile and do that in the I-10 tunnel under Mobile Bay. The bridge is for echo/ sound enclosure.
I was sick last week, and my bathroom sounded like that.
I took pictures last time I did it, and I have never taken the time to put together the article I planned to do. Once all of the parts 92 Teal mentioned are out of the way, it is pretty easy. There are plenty of bolts under there that you do not need to remove. You only need to take 6-8 bolts or...
