well i was wondering, since my turbo is on for a rebuild, just a stock ct, but would opening up the stock elbow get messed up? i know there is a few places that sells aftermarket elbow that has it wide open, but since im not working and im always free, i thought it would be ok to take a dremel or a small grinder and open up the passage to breath easier since that thing is clutter up, just want to know if any one has done it till they get the real elbow

Yes, you can do it. I don't think you can make it as open as the new ones though. Jdub used to sell a ported one. It was not close to the wide open 3" ones on the market today. I have one for sale if you are interested

That or just buy a whole downpipe that attaches to the turbo. Then you eliminate the restrictive elbow. Of course if you have no money the downpipe might have to come later
