Did you try either of the shafts Before you made the hybrid one? Or, did you mate the other halves together and try that?
Use this as your excuse to have a custom one piece aluminum made. Ya that will take a little more cash. But, the barrel has no bottom, you will never fill it up.
***NEWS Update!***
I just got my car started!
I have no idea what fixed it. What finally allowed it to start, was when I found my damn CPS not plugged in. I tested it, while late in the testing. It of course was plugged in when I drove it home, before I found it not able to start. It...
OK, Well I got the car to run! First I tried to start it with power applied through the EFI fuse port. As soon as I turned the key, it blew the 15 amp inline fuse. I replaced the fuse, and went to hook it up to see if it would blow again. That's when, I spotted my CPS unplugged!!!!! I tested the...
Nope, not running yet! I have the battery charger on the battery now for a start attempt with power through the EFI. It will turn over all day with my battery that is relocated to the hatch, but not start. I also get no voltage to my igniter, so I'm wondering if giving it power this way will get...
Mapquest has it at 48 miles. And, at 5:30-6:00 in the morning there shouldn't be too much traffic. I've got to be there at 7:00 every day. I guess I'll find a routine once I finally get there.
What are your plans with it? Strip Car, or Street Car. If street, do you plan to put all of the parts back on it, or leave them off for weight savings?
Looks good.
51 could be as simple as having your foot on the gas pedal, or the buttons on you A/C system not being in the OFF position. It is a very common code. Pull you EFI fusefor 30 seconds, and pull codes again.
32 - You need the HAC sensor. Your ECU makes adjustments to your fuel map through it.
I haven't messed with a 86-88 for a while, but I'm pretty sure that only 3 plugs go to the ECU. The rest of them have a mate under your dash somewhere. They like to hide, but they are there somewhere. You know one of them is the HAC, and I'm assuming you know which ones go to the ECU. If you...
All right, I got power run into the car that way. But, the battery I used was down to 10.99 Volts. My battery is relocated to the back, so I used a spare. Anyway, I got power to the whole dash, but still no CEL. I will put my charger on the spare, and see if it will at least start with power...
Thanks guys!
I will accept your congrats Jay. But, don't be coming in here picking on my procrastination twin. Maybe you should be watching the guy below who is trying to sell something.
It is a city job, not rural, so I will get the RHD white van with a bird on the side. I do applaud...
+1 on 7M guess
SP61 or TT (Twin Turbo)? With the problems you stated, I'd lean towards a $1500 value without pictures. Maybe more with the mods it has, but those problems are not easy ones. Good paint is not cheap either.
OK, I found that I don't have 12 Volts at the EFI fuse, and I do have a good ground. I'll apply 12 volts tomorrow, as it has become dark now.
What is strange to me, is the fact that my fuel pump has been working. Should that be happening if I don't have power the that fuse?
