    Brake question

So did you need a new booster too? My Dad and I put in the rebuilt MC. Hi-Tech guys stayed late Friday trying to bleed the lines, not totally convinced it was a bad MC. Had lots of fun driving it home, it was bad. Dad rode with me for 5 mins, and explained to me that one of the MC pistons...

    Brake question

Its the master cylinder. Replaced mine today. But you'll have to order one, because I hunted down the last one in town :icon_bigg And to answer your next question, $102 total, $40 back on the core from CarQuest. Came with the bleeder kit. Napa didn't carry it at all. The reservoir was...

    Network+ certified, bitches!

Congrats on passing the tests. Pretty much common sense stuff that every techie SHOULD already know. But a piece of paper does not make one an expert. There's alot of paper MCSE's, CNE's, A+'s, and CCNA's out there. Luckily, I don't have to chase certifications anymore. All my clients care about...

    burgandy supras

Amazing how it changes the wheels too ! :icon_bigg IMHO, I consider the 87-90's to be burgandy, and the 91, 92s to be maroon. The latter years was noticeably darker. The maroon ones are rare. If (when?) I get a second supra, it will be either burgandy or maroon. Fabulous color.

Indiana Supra Meet - May 10, 2008! (Merging with WWIV)

Anyone going up there Friday night from the Cincy area? I have to attend a cisco class Friday in Cincy, so I will be driving up there in my supra and finishing up around 4:30-5:00p. If I could catch a group thats headed that way it would be nice..

Cars you can bank on...86-92 Supra

Couldn't agree more. I think the values of the MKIII's have dropped in the past 4 years actually (I've bought 4, sold 3). Thank our economy for that. Sports cars are toys not necessities. With the price of gas causing in increase in prices of everything, people get rid of their toys first. Same...

    differential ratio's

Good to know ! I know my speedo is off by how fast the trees go by. I need a more scientific method, haha. I will have to get my car out on the road and compare its speedo to another car. It may be off by a fixed amount, but it doesn't seem like it, according to the trees. If it is a fixed...

    differential ratio's

Is there such a thing as an accurate speedometer on a Supra? :) In my 90, the faster I go, the more the speedometer is off. At what I consider 70 mph, my speedometer will say 85 mph. I really need to confirm this number by pacing another vehicle, but for now, I just subtract 15 from the...

Store supra for 3 years or part out?

I had to sell both of my 87 NAs. Blue I sold because I owed $$ on it. Second one, Red, sat in my barn as a project. Sold it for $1000 because I got pregnant, didn't have $$ or time. It was running, so I refused to part it out. Thought I would never own a Supra again. Fast forward two years, I'm...

Owner of a supra gets caught racing and gets car impounded.

Spare me the lesson on netiquette. I'm an old-school USENET reader, which didn't have moderators (babysitters?) shutting down threads when users misbehaved. Oh, and that was before Al Gore invented the internet and you had to put WWW in front of everything ;) I disagree with lilmissmk3, but I...

Owner of a supra gets caught racing and gets car impounded.

Just because lilmissmk3 does not agree with your opinion (yes, OPINION), doesn't make her close-minded. By definition, a closed-minded person wouldn't even read these postings. Obviously she has read the entire thread and made some valid points. If she suddenly starts agreeing with you, would...

    What vehicle to tow with?

The explorers, jeeps and 4-runners have short wheel bases. Longer wheel base means more stability. You don't want the tail wagging the dog. I suggest the silverado/gmc 5.3L half-ton extended cab. Gets the best gas mileage for vehicles of its class, and unlike the rest of GMs fleet, these trucks...

    polised 91 5 star wheels

I don't like brightly polished wheels on a white car either. Those polished sawblades look great. I like the brushed aluminum look of the modas on my 90. Not too gawdy. The white sawblades looked great with the white package, better than the 5-point stars that are on my ex-91.

Kind of Person who bought MK3 Supras back then.

Question is, who is buying them now? Apparently, from reading SM, the answer is a bunch of "cheap-asses", haha. We complain about having to pay over $3k for one, and then we call them a "money pit". Seriously, who are you and why did you buy one? I am a middle-aged run-of-the-mill...

Need to pick out a good body shop for a paintjob...What questions to ask.

Uncle Sam is sending me enough money to paint my Supra this spring (Thanks Uncle Sam!). I need to pick out a body shop to do some minor rust repairs and of course do the painting. I want to use the same white that is on the new Lexus RX330s. Its a nice bright white, and since its on a Lexus, its...

    ***The White Supras Thread***

Here are my twins. My 91 in the back has sold. Too expensive to maintain twins. Planning to get a new nose for the 90 and paint it this spring (thanks to Uncle Sam). I want to use the same white paint that Lexus uses for their little SUVs (RX330). Its a nice bright white. I generally don't like...

Need help with airbags, as in reinstalling..

:1zhelp:I got my 90t, found the airbag wires were cut in the steering column, along with cruise control/horn. Got the missing parts, put it back together, but was too scared to plug the airbag back in. Must've been cut for a reason. Decided to ask the service dept about it while I was picking up...

Looking for recommendations/pics for new exhaust (show us your SUPRA's hiney!)

I really like the dual-tailpipe look. Its more subtle, doesn't hang as low off the back of the car. I think the 4" pipes look more like coffee-cans hung on the back. But I have noticed that some have the 3" cans, and perhaps its how they're installed, but they aren't as noticeable. I'm hoping...

    Show your Powder Coated parts

Geez, I thought the same thing! Although I would be more forgiving of the car parts than most women..as long as they were from a Supra of course..

Looking for recommendations/pics for new exhaust (show us your SUPRA's hiney!)

Found out my 90t has a 3" downpipe, stock cat and stock muffler. And I'm thinking, did they run out of money here or something? So I decided I'm going to keep the cat, albeit make it a 3" hi-flow one. What to do about the muffler - I really don't like the "ricer" sound, I don't like a loud car...
