polised 91 5 star wheels

has anyone polised the five star wheels off later model mk3's? pics? even if u have done it to the saw blades let me see it. im thinking about doing it.

Polished sawblades:

They looked good for a year or so, but if you don't keep 'em polished, they get dull, and they're much harder to polish the next time.

they loook pretty good. i mean this is a second route. im planing to get them re powder coated in white like original but dont have the money so i thought for the time being id through them in the sand blaster. and then use one of those mothers powerballs (they work really good) and just leave them like that for a while.

there probley the plastic ones thats y. my five stars are alluminium (i cant spell) anyway the older saws have plastic ones some have alluminium ones too.

I agree, the 5-stars look good polished, but I was referring to the sawblades, I should have been more clear.

Spray the sawblades with paint stripper, let them sit for 5+ minutes, then rinse them off. Apply polish for a final shine. As already stated some center caps are aluminum and some are plastic. Tons of people have polished their sawblades including myself and it's very easy to do. I had the aluminum center caps on mine and they looked great, don't have any pics though.

jugedgolf's wheels are very nice in person, but i'm not a fan of stock size.

damn the chrome looks good as hell thats wat my dad told me to do but its kinda expensive. so paint striper then polish ill try that on my 5 spokes.

Personally, I don't think fully chrome or polished wheels look good on white cars. Thats just my opinion though. About 3 years ago, I bought Mk4 chrome wheels, installed them, and sold them days later.

I don't like brightly polished wheels on a white car either. Those polished sawblades look great. I like the brushed aluminum look of the modas on my 90. Not too gawdy. The white sawblades looked great with the white package, better than the 5-point stars that are on my ex-91.
